It's about time these came in Yellow. I find this yellow bulb very useful. It dramatically decreases bugs at my home..... it's not supposed to repel all of them. It a compact fluorescent bulb inside ..... of course it takes time to warm up!

These are best left on all night or for extended periods ..... don't put these in your motion sensors as you'll be disappointed because the light isn't instant .... and the lifespan will be greatly reduced by the constant on/off ...... this is compact fluorescent's dirty little secret.

No problem with the 7 I purchased, and now have fewer bugs to worry about.

Within a couple of days after installing this bulb in a recessed fixture over an outside doorway, the yellow lens fell off and smashed on the steps. It did seem to attract fewer bugs while it lasted.

I purchased the same brand and type of lamp from a local home improvement store. The lamp itself works fine. However it has a very fragile face, easily broken while even still in the package. Most CFL outdoor flood lamps are pretty rugged, this one is not. Treat it even more carefully than you would an ordinary light bulb.

Purchased 9 lamps for use outdoor in recessed lighting around house. in the first two weeks two lamps burnt out
which were replaced by the company, during the next 10 months all lamps were burnt out.
I guess I should have stuck with a name brand.

This bug light works great except for 1 minor imperfection. I use 2 of these bulbs at my shop and they stay on for an average of 10 hours a nite. They save me about 4 bucks a month on my electric bill over incandescent bulbs. However, after a while the yellow lens does fall off as other reviewers have talked about. The fix is to put some gorilla glue on 3 sides of the bulb and that will solve that issue permanently. Good Bulb with 1 imperfection Easily Fixed.

provides great lighting and no bugs! arrived very quickly and works wonderfully! you don't even realize that it's a compact florescent lamp.

I needed some CFL bug lights for outdoors on the Texas Coast where the bugs swarm daily. I'm glad I found and ordered these because they work great. I can have my outside dusk-to-dawn lights on for security and not attract hoards of flying insects. Wonderful product.

Noticed these flood lights had a more pale yellow color than some previous floodlights purchased to not attract insects. The pale yellow lamps (which these are) are excellent in not attracting bugs. Much better in terms of light output and not attracting bugs than the darker, amber colored fluorescent flood lights previously purchased from Felt Electric via Amazon.

These lamps turned out to be a very good bug light. I was skeptical at first. I'm using two of them in an outdoor fixture that's a dusk-to-dawn fixture, and the lamps are controlled by a photocell (not a dimmer or motion detector). These lamps operate perfectly and attract nearly no bugs! (My previous white lights attracted so many bugs that they almost wiped out the light output from the lamps). These lamps give off a greenish-yellow color. They seem to be well-made and should survive well outdoors. I don't know if the photocell control will shorten the life of the lamps. These are a great product at a great price from Amazon!
