Edit: 2 burnt out after a year. Still very satisfied with them. Got 4 more.

6 of the bulbs in our track lights burnt out after 2 years. We went to Home Depot to look for replacements and they have the standard GE ones 6 for $25.00. The life was 2000 hours only. These are rated for 3500 hours and cost less than Home Depot. These are also a little brighter and just a little whiter. They are not LED white which is fine by me. I like the warmer color.

Good price about half what they are the local hardware store. They are a white light so if your looking for a warm light with a red tint this is not the blub

I bought these to replace some lights that went out in a place I just moved into. I hunted around and found this to be the best deal I could find: 3500 hours, bright bulbs, awesome price. I noticed when I replaced the old bulbs that they said "UV filter" on the face of the bulb. So I'm a little confused. Are these lights UV filtered? Is a UV filter even needed?

I have track lighting in my kitchen and boy were they HOT!!! Temperature, that is, and I purchased these bulbs hoping for a more cool environment. Not only were these bulbs cooler in temperature, they are also more bright than my original lights. Great product, fantastic price!

Update 1/18/2010: Purchased four, of those four one burned out within a week. Others seem to be okay. May be the lightbulb may be the fixture. I'll keep this updated.

Original Review: These are nice bright lights that are much smaller than I thought (but that's a buying error not a problem with the product). They are nice light bulbs, at best two inches across, but provide a lot of very bright white light.

Although this product responds to a search on "GU10 35 watt", it's a 50 watt bulb, which is not disclosed in the description. There's a 50 in the part number, but that's hardly an adequate warning. And if your appliance calls for a 35 watt, don't use a 50.

My first order arrived damaged - one of the bulbs was broken at the stem. I set up a return, and Amazon was awesome as usual in having a replacement delivered to me the next day (Saturday), while I left the original out on the porch for UPS to pick up on Monday.

Neither bulb in the replacement package appeared damaged, but one of them simply didn't work right out of the box. Instead of doing another return, I grabbed the return package off the front porch and swapped the unbroken bulb (which thankfully worked) with the bad one from the replacement shipment.

I've been using them in my kitchen now (alongside seven other GU-10's) for a couple weeks now, and couldn't be happier with the brilliant bright white light they give.

I bought these bulbs as replacements for lights I use with a light tent for photography. They are not a cool white but rather a warm, yellow color. If I were to guess I'd estimate the color temperature is around 3500K. If your camera doesn't have a white balance function you'll end up needing to color correct the heck out of your pictures in Photoshop.

Needed these bulbs to replace my kitchen bulbs. I ordered 3 packs and all arrived in perfect condition & worked properly. These are bright white lights that work well with my dimmer.

MUCH cheaper than replacement Maytag/JennAir bulbs. My vent hood would go through several bulbs a year, these seem to be lasting as long (none blown yet, may last longer) than original equipment bulbs.
