I was worried that these bulbs would not be close to daylight balanced color as I was severely disappointed by a GE "Daylight" bulb I had bought from Target. That one was 6500K which was TOO blue for my tastes and hurt my eyes. I got a three pack of these bulbs from Bed Bath & Beyond for about $9 after using their 20% coupon. I am very satisfied with these bulbs. I installed one in my computer room and though I was almost ready to throw them out at first, I waited for a bit to let the bulb warm up and was rewarded with a great light. It does look blue at first, but after a short period it will come to full brightness and simulate natural daylight. I am now a believer in CFLs after having found one that suits my needs. I'm getting a bright light that helps me see better and doesn't hurt my eyes. I have to say it even helps my mood during these winter months thanks to the simulated sunlight color. I can even touch the bulb without burning my fingers! To anyone who is hesitant about going with CFLs for their household, I would highly recommend these bulbs. You have nothing to lose except big electricity bills.

These are particularly wonderful bulbs that do a fantastic job of simulating daylight. With a color temperature of 5750K, they're incredibly close to natural daylight, and you can really feel it when you use them. I put two in my overhead light sockets and the difference is amazing; I'm never going back to incandescent lights! Plus, of course, the bulbs will use less than 1/4 of the energy the bulbs they replaced used, and will last far, far longer. There's no losing side.

This product has cut our electricty bills dramatically. The light produced is a very bright white with a very, very, slight blue tint.

These bulbs are billed as producing "daylight" equivalent light, and that might (technically) be true, but the intense (really!) blue cast of the light was really unbearable to my entire family. We had to retire these bulbs to our garage light fixtures. They might well be perfectly efficient florescent bulbs, and were highly rated by consumer websites, but for us, the light they produced was awful.
