4.0 out of 5 stars Good martial arts shoe, but wide fit
I bought these to wear while practicing kung fu. They're really lightweight and the thin soles give you a good feel for the ground, but they have enough cushioning in the innersoles so you don't feel like you're walking on rocks. The only problem I have with them is that they're a little wide and I have really super-narrow feet, so my big toes slide around and get a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for wide feet
Ive had my pair for about a year and I love love it because I collect unique shoes. I am size 10 1/2 - 11 which equates to size 44 on the feiyues. I noticed that the toe box is a bit bunched up especially on my little toes. If my feet weren't too wide I feel that it would be a better fit. I feel that these shoes were made for thinner feet judging by the feel and by...

I bought these to wear while practicing kung fu. They're really lightweight and the thin soles give you a good feel for the ground, but they have enough cushioning in the innersoles so you don't feel like you're walking on rocks. The only problem I have with them is that they're a little wide and I have really super-narrow feet, so my big toes slide around and get a little bruised. If you're a C-D width, though, you'll probably be fine. They're definitely the best martial arts sneaker you can get for $29.

btw, another good choice, though it's slightly more expensive ($45) is the ASICS Matflex wrestling shoe. Those fit me better but don't have as much cushioning on the bottom.

5.0 out of 5 stars **** Feiyue High Tops, July 26, 2010

I bought these for my grandson. He likes them better than the low tops because they don't slip off his feet as easy when he's working out and offer more support around the ankles. The high tops have a little more rubber over the toe. I would recommend these they also look very smart.

These shoes are great for any kung fu or tai chi practitioner. They give my feet good support without slipping around and my toes don't get squished.

4.0 out of 5 stars shoe review, November 28, 2011

great shoe! i currently use it for freerunning. not sure how long the soles will last, but so far so good. should have bought a low top cause there's no real ankle support anyway; and also a size smaller cause i forget to account for the 1 inch size gap. but i'll worry bout that next time. definitely going to purchase again.....price pending, of course. hahaha

2.0 out of 5 stars An overrated shoe, November 5, 2011
This review is from: Feiyue High Top Shoes (Apparel)
This shoe is a good price but I see it is over rated. I dislike the shoe, visually the shoe is not appealing, it flat out looks ugly. The material of the shoe feels very cheap & flimsy. I have adidas Martial Art shoes that I highly recommend over these shoes even though it is listed 3 times the price at $90. These shoes are cheap but I would recommend to spend a little more money for something of high quality. I don't understand why it has such a higher star rating

5.0 out of 5 stars The original is still the best, October 12, 2011

The original Chinese martial art shoes definitely shows its outdated design. But so far no brand name shoes can match Feiyue's low cost, soft outsoles, cushioning, etc. These shoes are perfect for practising wushu in outdoor area. The cushioning keeps the shock from jumping on hard surfaces to as low as possible. The soft and durable outsoles allows practising tornado kicks without the slap hand. Highly recommended to martial art athletes everywhere. Chinese martial art needs a pair of Chinese martial art shoes to make practise session worth-a-while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Pair, September 19, 2011

This review is from: Feiyue High Top Shoes (Apparel)
When I ordered my first pair of Feiyues I was more than excited. I remember opening the box and seeing these beautiful shoes tucked away in their handy carrying bag. The first time I bought them, the rubber (over the toes and along the sides) was matte in color with a satin shine. This time around, the rubber is shiny and it takes away from the humble shoe that is a Feiyue. So, be warned... Sometimes the rubber will not look like the rubber in the pic, and you will be greeted with a very un-Feiyue like shine. Also, there is no writing on the back of the shoe near the Achilles tendon.

I purchased these for my 7 year old son for Karate. They are light weight and grip the mat well. They were perfect for our needs and the price was right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Kung Fu Shoes, June 14, 2011

The shoes are really great, I've been using for almost a month and comfortable besides agunatado me pass my classes, the soles are very thin indeed, and one feels almost as if you were barefoot but hey that's just what a fighter kung fu need to strengthen their feet, so if I recommend it 100%.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for wide feet, June 7, 2011
This review is from: Feiyue High Top Shoes (Apparel)
Ive had my pair for about a year and I love love it because I collect unique shoes. I am size 10 1/2 - 11 which equates to size 44 on the feiyues. I noticed that the toe box is a bit bunched up especially on my little toes. If my feet weren't too wide I feel that it would be a better fit. I feel that these shoes were made for thinner feet judging by the feel and by the thinner soles. So, unless your feet aren't wide this shoe would be great, I just recommend you get a size larger because your toes may suffer otherwise.
