Brilliant! A must for any Felicity fan.,

This soundtrack is awesome and I only wish I would have purchased it sooner. Although I'm not sure if I've heard any of the songs on the album during the show, besides Amy Jo Johnson's "Puddle of Grace" the soundtrack is successful at recreating the emotion of Felicity Seasons 1 & 2. For me the best track is Amy Jo Johnson's "Puddle of Grace." A song which she wrote for her mother and performed on Felicity episode "The Fugue." Ever since I heard it the very first time on Felicity, I fell in love with this song. However, the entire soundtrack is great. Heather Nova, Sara McLachlan, Joan Jones, Morley, Peter Gabriel, and Kate Bush all fit great onto this soundtrack as do the other artists. Plus, you have 1 minute and 15 seconds of the original Felicity theme!

Not what I hoped for, the Felicity soundtrack,
This review is from: Felicity: Music From The Hit Television Series (Audio CD)
is a little too angsty and slow-moving for me. I like the first four songs, especially Sarah McLachlan's 'Good Enough' and Heather Nova's 'Heart and Shoulder,' but the middle of the CD gets mired down. I'd like to have seen more songs along the lines of Aretha Franklin's cover of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. It's nice to have the Felicity theme song and a song by Amy Jo Johnson, but with the new theme song this season I hope they release a second CD with some more upbeat tunes.

Versatile, smart, fresh and classic all rolled into one CD.,

The versatility of this album is it's charm. The entire album is lyrically flawless, the rhythms can be soft melodic, or upbeat and irresistable. The heart of the album is cast member Amy Jo Johnson who sings the priceless gem 'Puddle of Grace' with perfection. Other highlights are Sarah McLachlan's 'Good Enough', Ivy performing ' I've Got a Feeling' is quite possibly the album's best song.the introduction is Neil Finn's wonderfully optimistic 'She Will Have Her Way', Arethra adds classic style, Scout potrays regret, and Peter Gabriel's "Here Comes the Flood' is nearly tear reducing. All in all this soundtrack is a must have

Very good selection. All the songs were actually heard on the TV airing of the show's first season (note for Lisa, the songs on the CD are the real songs from the show, not the one from the DVD version which are just crappy replacement songs).Anyway the CD is very great and each song has it own atmosphere which is very rare on a TV soundtrack.Almost one hour of pop/folk songs with a romantic feel on each, the perfect soundtrack for this very good show.

I got this CD used and because I do watch the show regularly, I waited a while to get the CD. Although, I can't remember hearing these songs in the show, they are all really good. There are many artists I have not heard before and that I absolutely had to get CD's by like, Ivy, Joan Jones, and Heather Nova. I'm a melancholy baby so this is a good album to listen to while at work or in the car on a long drive. I highly recommend for nice soothing background music!

Relaxing, placid, BRILLIANT,

When I first bought this album, I hated it. Absolutely detested the entire contents of it. But, after a few spins, I felt the exact opposite. It's calming, relaxing and in some ways, placid. The songs are excellent, especially the sounds of Amy Jo Johnson, Peter Gabriel and Sarah McLachlan. If you're looking for something easy-listening, I HIGHLY RECOMMENT THIS SOUNDTRACK. It's worth the money, trust me.

When you watch this show, your first emotions are probably, "God, she's stupid." I mean, she joins the college in N.Y. just because this guy she's never really talked to, plans to study there. But as you watch it more often and you gotta try to look inside this girl and you'll see that she's just naive and insecure, and still she's strong. What I think is amazing about the show is that the music ALWAYS suits the scene. The melody and the lyrics always go with the scene perfectly. My favourite song is Good enough (# 3)!

A Soundtrack To Our Own Life,

I had contradictory feelings the first time I saw "Felicity" on TV. I believed it would be such a tedious and boring show, me and my friends even used to make jokes about the main character and how stupid she seemed when facing up problems in the big city sparking off those chain reactions and getting herself even into more troubles. It sounded so cliché. However, after watching a couple of episodes I felt rather identified with Felicity and disappointed with myself. I am a guy but I kind of felt that Felicity's reactions to everyday situations are just the same as normal guys and girls in university have, and thus I realized that she was not stupid, but extremely normal and average. The show developed its plots and its characters in an admiringly way. The creators of "Felicity" should feel very proud of it. Together with the improvement of the show, the soundtrack in each episode is getting more and more exquisite and delicious. This CD sums up a season of great tunes, perfect companions to the unhurried life of the characters in "Felicity". Neil Finn opens the record with "She Will Have Her Way", one of the most optimistic songs on the CD. Heather Nova impress us as usual with her treasure called "Heart And Shoulder", which could be one of my favourite tracks on the album. I have known here so many new and slightly unknown musicians, specially in my country. Thanks to this album I discovered the talent of Sarah McLachlan, and after buying it and listening to "Good Enough" I decided to pick her whole discography. Ivy is another great discovery with "I've Got A Feeling", which sounds so emotional, soft and quietly comfortable. Relevant male voices on the record are Remy Zero and Joe Henry. Both performing touching songs capable of moving us to tears. One of the highlights on the CD is probably "Puddle Of Grace" by one of the stars of the show Amy Jo Johnson (Julie) who proved that she is far away from her early stages, when she picked a part on "Power Rangers". She now has showed that she has the talent and I hope she don't waist it anymore. On the other hand, Peter Gabriel chips in his small contribution with the masterpiece "Here Comes The Flood". Plus, you are able here to listen a classic "Bridge Over Troubled Water", which although doesn't really fit in the whole CD, is a great song, specially the vocal performance of course. Finally I'd like to highlight Air's track "All I Need", that had a great success here in Europe, and the extended version of the show's theme on its first and second season. So, I think this is a great purchase for all those who need a bit of classy and emotional music to fulfill their lifes and feel like the main character of the story.

I bought this soundtrack for Amy Jo Johnson's song "Full of Grace." It is beautifully written! Heather Nova is, also, one of my favorite artists... Her voice is incredible and if you have not heard of her yet, this is a great CD to just get a little taste of what she is about. You cannot go wrong with this CD... Sarah's on it! What more do you want?
