Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy is known to have revised his A-major Symphony several times. This edition contains facsimile reproductions of the individual versions and fragments as well as comparative musicological commentaries. The set consists of three parts: the complete full-score autograph of 1833, the eleven full-score autograph sheets (Oxford fragments) containing earlier versions of the 1833 autograph, and the 1834 autograph score of movements II to IV.
