The Shredstik balances well on a variety of small to medium wastebaskets, and it is just heavy enough that it's sure to stay in place. The one drawback is the noise level--while not overpowering, the heavy-duty blades send up enough sound to interrupt any nearby conversation.

This shredder is as advertized by Amazon.com. It came well protected in its shipping box and was easy to set up on an existing waste basket by adjusting the sliding member. Shredding of documents takes place effortlessly and the noise level is reasonable. Good product for the money.
