I purchased this leather bag in order to hold my laptop, accessories, school texts and assorted other items. It has held up amazingly well, even on those days when stuffed to capacity. My laptop is well padded and secure and necessary papers and documents are easily orgainzed in the partitioned section of the case. The front pocket with various orgainzers enables me to forego another bag to hold other items such as pens, credit cards, etc. Also the enclosed detachable shoulder strap adds versatility in carrying when traveling. Definitely one of my more frequently used travel cases and well worth the money.

I don't do reviews, but I feel compelled to extol the virtues of this product. I have checked out every brand of ballistic nylon briefcase that I could get my hands on and found them all to be lacking. The leather cases I looked at cost hundreds of dollars and seemed a bit delicate and formal, which wouldn't make sense for me because in my profession I work outdoors in the field, where even the toughest nylon cases tend to fall apart after a few years of use.

After a futile search for a replacement for my last case that could no longer be repaired, out of desperation I ordered this case, with a heavy dose of skepticism. But when it arrived I could not have been more favorably impressed. This is the real deal. It's elegant, businesslike and the most practical case I've ever seen. The leather is supple but tough, and the case seems indestructible. It also has that wonderful smell of genuine leather that I haven't experienced in years. There is room absolutely everything you might need for your business, with quite a lot of extra space for clothes or equipment, especially if you unzip the 2" expandable section, but even then it's still nicely compact. Your laptop is protected in the INSIDE compartment, not in one on the outside as with so many other cases.

I don't know how the seller (dealsdesired2) makes a dime on these things. I was so impressed with mine that I bought a second one for use as a spare or as a gift for one of my colleagues. Two magnificent, brand new leather briefcases for less than the cost of one mediocre ballistic nylon case sold at places like Lands End or LL Bean. And shipping was inexpensive and immediate; I received the goods within three days. There is another one of these cases for sale, USED, but at twice the cost of the new ones from the above-named seller. I would strongly recommend that anyone in the market for a product like this order one before the seller comes to his senses and recongnizes their actual worth. You certainly won't be disappointed.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He needed a replacement for the briefcase he has been using for 8 years. He loves it. His only complaint is that the padded section for the laptop is not removeable. This bag holds several textbooks and many files.
