4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice, could be a little better
It is simple, lightweight, attractive and easy to use. It would be ideal for those who spend their life on the road in particular. I do wish you could slide the monitor forward on the base and I wish it were more conducive to added cooling.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good design but flimsy material
I have had this stand for about a year now. The height and adjustability are perfect. But the plastic material is flimsy, and it didn't take long for the little plastic pieces in the back that hold the stand in its desired position to break. So I've been using it with major tape slapped across the back of the stand to keep it from collapsing (which it still periodically...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Fellowes 80320 Laptop Riser - Office Suites (Office Product)
The stand is great, but not quite what I expected. There's a piece of plastic that sticks up to prevent the laptop from falling, as well as prevents me from getting to my CD/DVD drive. But it's something I can deal with.

Great shipping time and everything

I am now shopping for a new stand, one preferably made of aluminum.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suits Me, February 6, 2007

This review is from: Fellowes 80320 Laptop Riser - Office Suites (Office Product)
I just needed a simple riser for my laptop so I could use it on my coffee table in front of the fireplace. This is exactly that. However, I would only use it at the lowest level. Any higher and it seems very flimsy to me. My laptop supposedly is not too heavy for it. I have a Dell Inspiron 1150.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very low quality breakable plastic, February 6, 2007
This review is from: Fellowes 80320 Laptop Riser - Office Suites (Office Product)
I returned the item because it arrived damaged. In my opinion this is made of very poor quality plastic, if you buy this, you can count on that it will break very soon.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, but a little flimsy., February 2, 2012
This review is from: Fellowes 80320 Laptop Riser - Office Suites (Office Product)
Just purchased this because I though it was a good price. It's okay but not good for a 17" laptop. It's a little flimsy and my laptop slides because both sides are very smooth hard plastic, not textured like the center. I'm giving it a try but I think I may give this one to my daughter and find a better one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor support, Flexs, December 2, 2011
This review is from: Fellowes 80320 Laptop Riser - Office Suites (Office Product)
This really isnt professional grade. I have had mine for over a year and found several issues with it:

1> The plastic platform that your notebook sits on will flex after a few hours of use causing your notebook to to tilt to one side or the other depending on how balanced it is. This is caused by the laptop heating up the very cheap and flimsy platform that is only loosely supported by ONE center support that is 3.5in wide for a 14.5in wide platform; two support at each back corner would have made a huge difference.

2> No Ventilation holes in platform. would most likely help to alleviate the flexing issue.

3> If the front of your laptop has a beveled edge (Such as the Dell "E" series) Then the front bar the laptop is suppose to rest against is less than 3/4in high and may not keep it in place

4> The platform has a very smooth matte finish and may cause your laptop to slide off (not helped by issues #1 and #3)

I work in I.T. and spend 50+ hours in front of my laptop; I switched to a Cables Unlimited Minifit.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy, doesn't stay in its position, October 7, 2011
By
This review is from: Fellowes 80320 Laptop Riser - Office Suites (Office Product)
This laptop riser is very flimsy. It doesn't stay in its position when taking out or depositing the laptop. The indentations to set the riser level are not deep enough so the movements cause it to flip from its position. I use it with a Macbook, I'm in an office and out of meetings, so I come back to deposit the laptop 3-4 times a day and have to reset it most of the time.
In addition, the plastic that holds the riser level is cheap, thin. I can see it won't last long. Overall, I don't recommend it.

I seldom do reviews but I had to do a review on this particular product. I needed a labtop riser for work and so I decided to go to a office supply because I felt I would have more risers to choose from. Well, not so. The one I really liked was $60.00 and I felt that was way beyond what I wanted to spend. I left this store very dissapointed and decided to look on line. I did find some risers but again, I did not want to spend too much on it. I then decided to look on Amazon since they have always given me really great deals. I found this product and it is a great product for the price. I have been using it for the last 2 months and it is great for my tablet.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is my second one, April 7, 2011

This is the second one we purchased for our business and it is well made and easy to adjust. For extra stability, use a couple strips of silver duct tape on the inside (out of sight) and that really makes this stand a great buy.
