5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable
I've had one for a few years now and I wouldn't trade it for any other. It's actually long enough to span the length of my dell keyboard, plus hang over enough to use with the mouse as well. I need to get another for the office because after just a couple hours I can feel my wrists start to hurt from resting on the hard desk. But I often sit for 10 or more hours...

3.0 out of 5 stars thin and long / good for keyboards / bad for laptops
it's about 1.5 cm thick and 18.5 in long.
I wanted to use it with my macbook pro (because the edges are too sharp), but as another reviewer indicated it's thickness (or lack thereof) is not large enough to provide support and I find my wrists still hanging off the keyboard.
However, I found it very pleasant to use with a regular keyboard.
So, it all...

But I often sit for 10 or more hours straight working at home, and never feel discomfort with the gel rest. It's also really easy to clean unlike the ones that have fabric on them, and that's important to me with two young kids and a husband that use it too. I also find the fabric ones starts to irritate my skin from the constant friction against the rough fabric, and that's completely eliminated with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great even with a Mac keyboard, January 2, 2009

I always have great luck with this product. It cushions my wrists gently, but firmly, so they don't after a day at the keyboard. I have the matching mouse pad, which is also fantastic for the wrist.

I was really surprised that it worked well with the small Mac keyboard. Your hands are in a different position than with PC, but that doesn't seem to impact the effectiveness.

Great buy for the price.

I've gone through quite a few wrist rests lately, basically because my son (11) likes pulling at them till they fall apart, not a habit I encourage! I need wrist rests because otherwise I get pain and can't use the computer. This one is different in that it is feels like it's coated with plastic wrap rather than fabric. It's very comfortable and best of all my son can't pick at it as he did with the more fabric covered ones. I have hopes that this will last longer. It's firmer than other wrist rests I've used and also a little narrower. Personally I would have liked it to be a little longer and wider, it's the narrowest wrist rest I've ever used, but then again, it also uses less desk space and does the job. Let's see if it lasts the distance.

Edited to add, 7 months later it still looks like the first day it did when I took it out, so it's outlasted the past few ones that I've bought, I like the firmness and got used to the narrowness. I would still like it to be a little longer but otherwise very happy with it

1.0 out of 5 stars They don't build them like they used to., December 28, 2011

I have two Fellowes gel wrist rests that were purchased at least three years ago. They are used every day and are still in excellent condition. The new one, which I have had for only a few months and have used very little, is already starting to show signs of wear. The gel is permanently indented where my left wrist rests. The new wrist rest is approximately half as thick as my old ones and the gel feels much softer. Very disappointing.

I have owned a fellows gel rest for years. This exact one in fact and have enjoyed it since the day I bought it. The only reason I had buy a new one is I accidentaly puntured it.
This new one however is no good. it is 1" shorter, 1/2" narrower and half as thick as it used to be.
Highly disappointed in how much they reduced the size overall.
As I'm typing this now my wrist are on this gel pad and are starting to hurt due to the lack in height.

Not soft and doesn't wear down like all the other rests. Fantastic buy. I definitely recommend if you spend long hours at a computer and your wrists hurt. This is an easy and relaxing fix.

every once in a while, this thing emits a really strong and foul odor, but not all the time, and my husband can't smell it. i should say that i have a very sensitive sense of smell, and he doesn't, but if you do, this might not be for you. on the other hand, it works well. i've had it for a couple of months, and i have much less muscle strain than before. it seems sturdy, too.

As an avid World of Warcraft player, I have always needed some type of wrist support while playing. For the past few years I've just stuck with the plastic wrist support connected to my gaming keyboard, but decided to give this gel wrist support a try with my new keyboard.

WOW! What a huge difference this thing makes! I honestly have no idea how I went so long gaming on my PC without it.

I almost downgraded it to 4 stars because it has a funky smell - but after a week of use, it seems to be going away.

Thanks for the great product.
