After suffering with wrist pain from using the mouse, this worked great to ease the pain! Nice comfortable solution to a tough situation.

1.0 out of 5 stars This didn't work for me.
The idea sounds great, but it just doesn't work too well. Whenever you pick up your hand off the mouse it's hard to get started again.

Dimensions: 10" x 11"
Color I bought: Graphite w/ dark blue mouse pad.
Mouse pad removable/replaceable?: Yes

-The mouse pad is great for what I need, so I gave it my best recommendation.
-It doesn't take up that much desk real estate when compared to my keyboard or monitor, which is a good thing when in college.
-It's great for my carpel tunnel that I have just found out I have. I'm a computer science major and I have to use the computer more than most students. The hard back surface also allows me to do mouse activities on my lap instead of on the desk.
-When the soft surface becomes tiring, I can just turn the pad around and it's out of the way. Only my roommate complains about using it, but mostly he's jealous.
-One recommendation I would put out is that gamers who use optical mice might want to get a 3M mouse pad to replace the pad on the board so that the mouse tracks a little better on games where you might have to move the mouse quickly.
-Anyways, the best mouse pad out there and the best mouse pad I have ever used.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kind of big for my desk but it does the job, November 19, 2001

Thanks to a major flare-up of CTS recently, I found myself in the market for things to ease the stress of daily tasks. I traded my mouse for a trackball, but the angle was still rough on my wrist, so I invested in this item, and within minutes I felt a difference. My wrist rests on a well padded pillow. Mouse users should note that this pillow area swivels easily so you're not always having to readjust your wrist. It holds my hand at a perfect angle for avoiding more damage to the carpal tunnel as well as for using the complicated trackball system I've installed.

The only drawback I see here is that it's very large for my desk as it's set up. I have a shelf which holds keyboard and mouse, and it rolls out for use and back in when I'm finished. On the pad, the trackball is just a bit high for complete clearance so it scuffs the bottom of the desk. And when I'm using it, I have to pull the pad up over the lip of the workshelf in order to have free movement for my fingers. I don't see this being a huge drawback for me, but it bears thinking about before you invest. Personally I think it's well worth the bit of extra trouble not to have numb fingers or pain in my arm all day.

Assuming this item holds up to heavy use, I'd say that it's probably one of the most useful things I've purchased in ages.

When I first started shopping for a mouse wrist rest, I thought that a gel-filled one would be nice. I saw a Fellowes rest at an office-supply store and bought it. I love it because it's extremely comfortable and takes all the weight off my shoulder. Since then, I've tried other brands' rests, but the gel portions aren't nearly as comfortable. I've never had any mouse tracking problems with the mouse pad, either.

5.0 out of 5 stars No more wrist pain, March 3, 2002

I've never really believed in wrist/mouse pads, especially after switching to the MS wireless optical Intellimouse. However, I've been doing a lot of computer use lately, and a lot of coding and mouse use. I started getting pains in my mousing arm, and decided to give a wrist pad a shot.

The Fellowes Easy Glide is excellent. Its wrist pad moves with you but stays fixed to the pad. This forces you to continue using it, and gives you great support. I would recommend this to anyone that does a lot of computer work, BEFORE you start getting wrist pains.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic mousepad., May 17, 2000

I was surprised this item came in such a big box that I was worried the thing wouldn't fit on my desk. But I was happy when I opened it.

The wrist pad moves smoothly and comfortably. The only issue is that the wrist pad is not that jelly-ish as that is what I was expecting. It is a bit firm, but if you press your finger on it, you know there's jelly in there. Recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Large surface area, easy on my wrists, February 2, 2002

This review is from: Fellowes Easy Glide Wrist Rest and Mouse Pad (Personal Computers)
I purchased this item several months ago after a lack of keyboard and mouse wrist support left my wrists in braces for a while. Along with this item, I also purchased a Fellowes wrist rest for the keyboard. Using the two wrist rests together, I have not had any new carpal tunnel flare-ups.

I have an optical mouse at home, so I was used to having the entire surface of my desk to use as a mousepad. Switching from that to a more limited space took some getting used to, but this mousepad offers more space than most others that come with a wrist rest. I also like the way the gel part slides around with my hand when I'm moving the mouse.

The reason I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 is that the gel is a little hard, much harder than my keyboard wrist rest (made by the same company). It's a little less comfortable than it would be if the gel were softer, but it's far, far better than having nothing at all.

I'm on the computer eight hours a day....At times the wrist pain is unbearable. I bought this wrist rest/ mouse pad in a desperate act....and I'm so glad I was that desperate. I will admit that it took some getting used to but I have not had one ache in my wrist since getting it one month ago. I love that the wrist rest moves with you (that's the part that took some time getting used to). Yes, it's ugly. Yes, it takes up valuable real estate on my small desk. And, yes I would buy another one.

This mousepad may seem as a great product but at times the rest becomes a little bit tiresome, and I think it get's in the way of my hand and the mouse. It did take me a great deal of time to get used to this pad but anyone else who use's it has found it in the way and annoying. I have to agree with this, b/c it truly does get into the way of my hand and its a little bit confusing. Also it is much bigger than most mousepad's it takes up a great deal of space.
