I tend to agree with Miss Griswold that J&R should do a better job of packing these things. In my case, I ordered a total of 30 CD cases (3 packages of 10). I have only discovered one cracked case so far. It was a small crack too.
I would also add that these CD cases have a cheap feel to them. I've seen better.

They're fine, but avoid buying them from J&R,

J&R packs them so poorly that over half of them were shattered beyond repair upon arrival.

I'm happy with this product.,

I received one 10-count box, and not one of the ten cases was broken. All the disc "teeth" were intact, and my CDs fit securely in them. That is very important to me, as I have invested a lot of money in my music collection, as does anyone that buys music regularly. It is true that I have seen a double case of better quality ... once, when I ordered a double-disc compilation from the Netherlands. So I suppose they are out there, but not where I can find them easily. These serve their purpose, and are very nice for the price.

I would recommend another brand, as the quality of this jewel case is very poor. Extremely flimsy (two of ten cracked in shipping), very cheesy product. I would not store valuable projects in these.

These cases are just okay. I have a lot of Maxell double CD cases, but I've had trouble finding them, so I bought these. They don't grip the CDs quite strong enough, so the CDs sometimes fall off, and the centerpiece tends to snag the paper label on the back of the case. If you're just storing CDs, these will work fine, but if you want to access your CDs regularly, they aren't that great.

...I purchased these from J&R Music and received tons of junk snail mail for several months (maybe years) from the company after my purchase.

I found these to be of very good quality. They hold the discs securely but are easy to release. And the tray hinges on the same side as the cover, which I much prefer. I just received a new double cd in the slim case. The cd's were very hard to remove. And the tray was difficult to release, and then fell out of the case! I've already switched the contents to the Fellowes case.
I ordered directly from Amazon, and no cases were broken in shipment.

My husband have been using this particular jewel cases since he converted his vhs video colection to dvd's about 4 to 5 years ago I think. The only thing I can say is that he is satified with these cases, because he has me to order the same brand cases when he starts running out of them. He says that the case's are sturdy enough for moderate handling and holds the dvd quite securely once the dvd is placed in the bed and little circle thingey used to hold the dvd in place. He also says that the case itself is sturdy enought for him also, because handling the cases with his dvd's inside, he has droped them many of times and 8 out of ten the cases stay closed or if they open after a fall the dvd stays secured inside the bed and little circle thingey most of the time, and that is good enough for him. Over the 4 or 5 years I have been ordering these cases I have never heard my husband complain.

Saves Space, Does NOT Crack CD's,
This review is from: Fellowes Model 98320 Double Jewel Cases (10-Count, Black) (Electronics)
I've used these cases for years. They save a lot of space if you have a large cd collection. The only way you could possibly crack a cd is if you try to punch it into the case like a rabid monkey.
