Perfect for 15.4" widescreen notebooks!,

This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
The other reviews are right on in saying that it won't fit a 17" computer. It perfectly fits my 15.4" widescreen notebook (Dell Inspiron 6000) with a nice snug fit. I believe that it was redesigned to not scratch the notebooks because the logo does not protrude to the interior of the sleeve. Highly recommended (for 15.4" notebooks)!

Metal label damaged my laptop,
By Kris (Baltimore, MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
I liked the laptop sleeve until the metal body glove logo label on the front chipped the top of my laptop. The label is a metal logo that has 2 prongs that fit through a back piece and then fold over. Well, the prongs were not folded flat and one of them took a huge chip out of the cover of my laptop. I'm lucky I didn't have a tablet or it would have ruined the screen. And Fellowes has an extremely frustrating and complicated claims process. I do not recommend this product. I gave it 1 star because they wouldn't let me give it 0. A protective case that inflicts damage is useless.

This sleeve was a bit too snug for my 17" HP Laptop. In fact it has a tear at one corner.

good value for the cost,
This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
Although I purchased this for my 17" laptop (which it could not accomodate)I kept it for another computer. It is a bit thinner than I expected but adequately cushions, as long as you don't drop it! It has a nice sleek feel and the zipper is easy to operate and durable.

Consider these points....,
This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
For several years, I carried my laptop in a Targus notebook case. The weight of the bag and of the laptop on my right shoulder often left me with severe discomfort during my long commute to school and to work. I finally decided to purchase the Fellowes Neoprene Notebook Sleeve so that I could place my laptop in my bookbag.
After purchasing this product and using it for about a month, I would recommend that you consider these points: 1) Will my laptop fit into the Sleeve? -------------------------------------- You may be thinking to yourself that this is an obvious point. However, I would suggest that you measure the thickness, width, and length of your laptop, and compare that to the measurements that Fellowes provides for the sleeve. One observation that I made about the sleeve is that it is very thin. I found that my Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop with a 15" wide LCD screen just barely fit into the Fellowes 17" Neoprene sleeve ("the sleeve"). What I mean by barely is that I can place my laptop entirely into the sleeve but I have difficulty closing the zipper to encase the laptop. The thicker your 17" laptop, the harder I think it will be for you to zipper your laptop within the sleeve. Many have also expressed this same viewpoint in their reviews on Amazon and other websites. Do not dismiss this very important point or you may end up returning this item. 2) How safe will my laptop be in the sleeve? -------------------------------------------- Compared to my old bag, the Neoprene sleeve offers minimal protection. Why? The sleeve will protect your laptop from the inadvertent scratches and from the random crud that may enter your laptop during transport. But (and more importantly) the sleeve will offer minimal protection from any impact the laptop may suffer during an accidental drop. The sleeve is especially weak around the zipper area (as there is less padding). For those who are prone to the accidental slip and fall, or for those who are used to dropping their bookbag (which may in the future carry your laptop), the sleeve may not be for you. If, on the other hand, you take good care of your laptop, and are conscious of it during transport, it will likely suffer no harm. Moreover, it may be more comfortable to carry the laptop within the sleeve in a bookbag than it is to carry it in a shoulder-strap bag. 3) What will I carry the notebook sleeve in? --------------------------------------------- Bookbags and handbags come in all sizes. You may first want to think about whether or not your notebook (with the sleeve around it) fits into your existing bookbag or handbag. If so, how much addition by subtraction is taking place? With the added notebook, how many documents, books, and etc can you now fit into that handbag or bookbag? A student with a heavy course load may end up carrying some books in his hands.

Great Sleeve - Just Needs A Handle,

This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
I was looking for another of the ICON notebook sleeves - a thin carrying case to offer minor protection and not break the bank. Since the ICON was discontinued, I ordered the Fellowes Body Glove Sleeve. It is a great price ($8.50) and great quality. However, since Amazon did not have a picture, I did not know it does not have a handle or strap of any kind...so plan on carrying it under your arm.

Much Nicer than Expected,
By Lady M "Controlled Chaos" (Whittier, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
Because I had read some not-so-flattering reviews about this Fellowes Body Glove, I was a bit hesitant to order it. But knowing I could return it and the price was right, I went ahead and ordered it.
The Body Glove is exactly what I was looking for. No frills. Just a nice, slightly padded, Glove-Like fit to protect my new Laptop. Before putting my Laptop in the Body Glove I inspected every inch of it for anything that could possibly scratch or harm my new Laptop in any way. There were no sharp edges, no exposed metal and the zipper worked very well. I have a 15.4" Wide Screen Laptop and the Body Glove fits around it like, well....like a glove. There is a smaller, fabric compartment sectioned off from the main area on the inside of the Lightly padded Body Glove that allows me to take along the Manual for my New Laptop so that I can refer to it when needed. I can also fit the Adapter to my Laptop in the small compartment and I'm still able to zip the Body Glove around my Laptop with no problem. For the price, the quality and the perfect fit, I gave this Fellowes Body Glove Five Stars.

Notebook sleeve,
This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
While I wouldn't return this item, I wouldn't be too quick to recommend it. The padded sleeve fits snugly which is nice; however I find that the closure for the strap is much too flimsy and unassuring as to how well and for how long it will hold.

A Little Off,
This review is from: Fellowes Body Glove 17" Neoprene Notebook Sleeve (Model 97763) (Personal Computers)
The product in and of itself was exactly what I was looking for: a slim, no frills sleeve to protect my notebook when it was in my bag so that other items wouldn't damage it. Because the sleeve measures 17 in., I didn't think size would be a problem, since my screen is only 15 1/2 in. across. However, the actual height of my computer (when closed, what the notebook measures from top to bottom) was a bit too long for the sleeve. My computer fits, but not perfectly. It's a slightly tight fit once it is zipped shut. If you're not obsessed with perfection, this should suit you fine, and for the price, you can't beat it.

I like fellows products in general. Have looked for a while for a good 17" sleeve. This one looks like what I wanted & is definitely well made. However, It is too small from top to bottom...won't zip up. Perhaps my machine is outsized for a 17"...it is an emachine...
