4.0 out of 5 stars Half a year later...
Well, I bought this CD book this past August, despite reading quite a few negative reviews. I own a lot of CD's (more than can fit in this book) and needed a place to store the majority of them. This case has many great aspects to it and many flaws. I will go through the pros and cons of it, in case you need a general idea of what you are buying.

When I got my Fellowes 320 CD case in the mail, I was very pleased. I spent an hour loading all of my CD's into it. I showed it off to my friends, all of whom admired the stylish look and professional features. That is, until the stitching holding the handle on came loose two days later, leaving the handle attached at only one end. To top that off, a day after that,...

PROS:

- Affordable
- Lots of space
- Sleeves don't get "white streaking" that other cases got
- Sleeves don't rip
- Material does not scratch CD's AT ALL (that's a first)

CONS:

- Handle is useless; if book is full and you lift it by the handle, it will probbably fall off
- When full, the CD book will not open all the way
- Lining on the inside has recently started to come undone
- CD's in front & back can be difficult to get out at times

Overall, this isn't a bad buy. It depends on what you need it for. I myself bought it because my CD's are never on the go. I never keep all of my CD's in my car, because if I had all of my CD's stolen, I would be devastated. I honestly can't recommend this for traveling purposes. It is extremely bulky (which is expected) and you can tell it's not meant to be moved much. However, the one thing that I love is that the fabric does not scratch any of my CD's. I can't tell you how many CD's I have that are all scratched up from other cases. All of my CD's that I have bought since August that are put in here are without a scratch. Conclusion: Buy it, but keep it home. Afterall, who needs to carry 320 CD's with them?

4.0 out of 5 stars Too much of a good thing, February 2, 2004

Prior to buying the Fellowes 320-disc case, I also owned a Caselogic 264-disc case. The Fellowes appealed to me because it was cheaper and held more. The case is ok for the price, but here are my two main complaints:

First, after filling the case to capacity with 320 discs, I found it incredibly difficult to zip up the case. It was so cumbersome, I opted not to zip it up which leads to my second complaint...when I picked up the unzipped case by the handle (which I do with my Caselogic all the time), the entire binder fell out onto the floor. This has happened so many times that I now just have the binder out by itself without the zipper case.

I'm getting ready to buy another case and this time around, I'll go back to the Caselogic-264.

That is, until the stitching holding the handle on came loose two days later, leaving the handle attached at only one end. To top that off, a day after that, the zipper's stitching came loose as well, meaning that not only was I left with a CD case that I couldn't pick up easily, but now it couldn't close either. How utterly delightful.

2.0 out of 5 stars Huge case but inferior to caselogic, March 27, 2001

I just bought this case about 2 weeks ago and after loading it up, it is just waiting to break. The handle is not reinforced nearly enough, and, although plentiful, the cheap attachement of the pages within the case is going to be a problem. If your csae pretty much just stays in the house and lives an easy life than this mammoth case is for you, but if you are like me and your case goes out and about to see the world then I am telling you to go with the case logic. This case was put together cheap.

I have over 800 cd's in 15 different sized albums. I bought this album specifically for my cd and dvd burner. (Before you buy- don't forget to read the part about storing HALF the amount of cd's with their inserts.) This album is definately (as everyone else has said) pretty much for storage. Don't expect this thing to hold up if you're traveling around. If you're storing cd's back to back- they're hard to get in and out. I think they could have been a little more generous with the size of each pocket. I'm not sure about longevity... The black fabric that seperates the cd's is the direct connection to the spine of the album. Meaning there may be a tearing factor in the future. I think plastic reinforcement would have been a little more comforting to someone who is about to organize and alphabetize their cd's in this case. I guess if you're looking for a cheap solution for organizing and space saving this is it! So i guess that means I will be buying another one!

4.0 out of 5 stars I have six of them!, June 30, 2004

These CD binders are pretty good. I use them for my DVD backups. They do not SCRATCH discs at all unlike the CDPROJECTS binders. But I found that you can only fill them up with 160 discs because the discs in the inside pockets will bend if you close the binder. The outside handle looks like it would break off and you can't open this book all the way. Fellows made some poor design choices with this binder but it doesn't scratch the discs and that's all that matters to me. You shouldn't buy this if you want a binder that you can carry around. I will be buying more of these in the future.

This CD storage case is better suited to use at home, if you plan
to put it in your car, look elsewhere. The Case Logic costs more for less space, but will hold up better. The CD's can be tough to grap one-handed if used in a car, the slot to pull the CD out is closed unlike the Case Logic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fellows CD Wallet, December 10, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fellowes Nylon CD Album (320-Disc Capacity) (Electronics)
At first I couldn't wait to get this. I ordered 2 at the same time. As I started to fill the pages, I started seeing the first of several problems. Pockets were tight and it would be very easy to scratch a dvd on the zipper. Speaking of zipper, it is very hard to work when the wallet is full. The other day, I wanted to see about getting more CD wallets (not necessarily Fellows) when I read the reviews here for this wallet. I read the part about not putting cd's in the inner pockets because they would bend. I went home and checked mine. Sure enough, when the wallet is full, the cd's are slightly bent. I would imagine if they were left that way for a period of time, they would probably stay curved.

4.0 out of 5 stars It is good for what is is, but not brilliant, March 15, 2006
This review is from: Fellowes Nylon CD Album (320-Disc Capacity) (Electronics)
We had the CD books inserted behind the CD, which makes it very bulky, but contain more. Better to use 1/2 the capacity, and place them one next to the other, if you can afford the space.
The book is large and well made. Personaly I would prefer such a thick book to be harder cover, with 'O' ring binder, which it isn't.
The pages are binded to the cover so you cannot move pages around, but rather have to move the disks. It is harder to alphabetize and add CD's this way.
Bottom line, a good, well built basic product.

5.0 out of 5 stars For CD Booklets Only, January 27, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Fellowes Nylon CD Album (320-Disc Capacity) (Electronics)
I recently purchased a 300-disc cd changer and needed a way to organize the music I put in there. I'm using this album as a way to set up my music in jukebox form by only using the cd booklets in the album and numbering them. This way I can flip through the album and find exactly what I want to listen to. Since this will not be taken outside my house and will not be having disks put in/taken out repeatedly, it will be great for my use. However, if I were to use this as an actual cd album, I don't think it would make it for long. It's just not sturdy enough. The spine seems particulary succeptable to being pulled apart by the weight of 320 cds.
