The Fellowes Powershred C-420C provides superior performance at an affordable price for large offices with 10 or more users. With its contemporary styling and soft lines, this shredder also suits any office decor. The C-420C is powered by a heavy duty 1.9 HP thermally protected motor that shreds 22-24 sheets into 5/32" x 1-1/8" confetti particles per pass as fast as 14 feet per minute.

The shredder includes the innovative Turbo Jam Release button for a fast, easy way to clear jams. A wide 12" paper entry permits continuous feeding of 80-column paper. Durable, hardened-steel cutters accept credit cards, staples and small paper clips, while a designated safety slot shreds CDs. The C-420C also features an auto start/stop function for quick, easy shredder operation and is designed to shut off automatically and alert the operator with troubleshooting indicator lights when a jam occurs, wastebasket is full or door is ajar. The door offers a convenient holder for oil, manual and shredder bags, while the 32-gallon wastebasket pulls out for easy waste disposal. Fellowes provides a two-year warranty on the machine and a 20-year warranty on the cutter.

This shredder was great when we first purchased it for our IT office. However, within 7 months of use, it started automatically running without stopping and almost overheated during the weekend. Fellowes provides a warranty but the warranty consists of a list of your local repair people to call and then waiting 7-10 days for the actual repair to take place. All in all I wouldn't spend the money on this machine or the company again.
