works pretty well. close up it doesn't block much but it will do a decent job if ppl are far away. you can make out shadows.

The Fellowes privacy filter is perfect for my home computer. I purchased one after buying a similar product for my office computer. The long days at the screen were bothering my eyes. I have found the filter to be a great relief. I don't normally travel with my laptop, but for those who do, the privacy aspect is important and works well at keeping wandering eyes off your screen. It is easy to use. The little tabs stick unobtrusively onto the sides of the screen and the filter slides in or out, as you wish. When the laptop is closed, there is no bulky interference from the filter. One note: when ordering, be sure to use the diagonal measurement of your screen's innner corners to get the correct size.

This product was advertised as an anti-glare and privacy filter. It is only a privacy filter. Since I purchased it specifically for the antiglare, I was very disappointed.

The filter obscures the screen when you away from direct view (as it says) but by no means blacks it out as shown in the photo. For example, someone sitting next you can see what application you have open and title fonts but probably won't be able to read what you are typing.

Also, mine got scratched on the laptop's locking latches when I slid it into place, that wouldn't be so bad if these were some disposable sheets that came in a ten-pack or something, but this is a $35 item!

There are more expensive screens out there but probably don't work any better. That's it.

I bought the privacy filter after seeing another student at school with one. This filter does NOT black out the screen like the image shows. There were angles that I could still see my screen from that were not directly in front of the screen (like it is supposed to work). For the most part, it does obscure what is on your screen, but don't expect other people just to see a blank screen as is shown.

My main reason for giving the product 3 stars is the little plastic holders that hold the screen on, that you attach to the frame of the screen have very weak adhesive. The top and side holders worked well, but the bottom holders started falling off about a month after I was using this screen, and that is with only using my laptop 3 - 4 times a week for a couple hours at a time.

Every time I opened the laptop, the filter would fall off, and I would have to reposition the holders, and they didn't stay on properly, so finally I just took the filter off and don't use it anymore.

Great product. Does what it's meant too. Just have to make sure you put in on properly (make sure the correct side is facing you - it does make a difference) because the directions on the package don't tell you that there's a right way and a wrong way.

This does not protect any privacy, I can see my screen just as if the protector wasn't there.

Don't buy this product....you'll regreat it.

You better get the 3M one as I was supposed to do it from the beginning.

This product is good, but if you have a "Hp Pavilion dv2000" you may want to do more risearch about a Privacy filter for this particular kind of Laptop screen: (the bottom of the screen does not hold the privacy filter clips) Thanks. after that it WORKS PERFECT.

Other than a knock-off I found on eBay that was nearly perfect, I've never found a brand of privacy screen that has all the features I like.

The IDEAL privacy screen:
1) No visual pattens when looking straight on
2) Full blocking of screen at side angles, even on high brightness
3) Covers entire screen (No notches)
4) No stamping or printing that obscurs part of the screen
5) Reasonable price

THIS privacy screen hits the mark on 4 and 5. There are diagonal lines that are visible (albeit faintly) when looking at the screen. They become more obvious when the screen is brighter. However, at high brightness, the view of the screen starts to become visible at side angles. Plus, the notch on the top bugs me, although I can imagine it would be convenient for someone who takes the screen off a lot.

Apparently, that's about the best you can get. For comparison, I have a 3M brand privacy screen at work and it succeeds in 1 and 2, and fails on the rest.

In summary, I reluctantly recommend this privacy screen because there is no better option, but see definite room for improvement that manufacturers could take advantage of.

I was looking forward to having the privacy screen, but you managed to send me the wron item and in top of everythinhg you charged me for shipping!

Not ordering anything else from you guys, deeply disapointed.
