DON'T BUY IT !!!,

Fellowes makes screen protectors for Palm devices, BUT they are new to the Pocket PC arena. The one for IPaq I just got is simply UNUSABLE due to their copyright message on the bottom of the screen covering the "toolbar" (they must be very proud of themselves) on almost any program it covers very important information, buttons or icons. Took it out after an hour of use. Price... very expensive, around[ price] and it does NOT include at least a sample of their recommended cleaning pads, which you must buy additionally. In other words: DON'T waste your money until they delete their annoying copyright message.

Unacceptable performance,

I thought I would give this product a try, because I liked the idea of protecting the LCD screen on my iPAQ. However, three application tries later, I returned them. It was impossible to get the film applied without leaving small bubbles and or smears. The iPAQ has such a nice looking screen that having the film there with bubbles etc really detracted from the quality. I could not have used it like that.

Difficult to apply,

I'm not sure if I should have applied this or not. We really shouldn't put anything sticky on the sensitive iPaq screen. But I felt the alternative of nothing was worse so I went for it. Anyway, I had no problem removing the protector from my first few attempts on centering and smoothing and I love their companion product for the Palm VII. But I found this one harder to apply. Also the card that come with it is way too small. I had to go and fish out my Palm VII applicator to do the job. What were they thinking. It took me about 5 tries and I still have a small bubble or two but overall I'm fairly happy with it. And I do have peace of mind with it on there.

Hard to properly install but...,

consider the alternative. I've used this product for over a year now and it's literally saved my iPAQ's screen numerous times, both from stylus scratches and things dropped on the screen. Follow the instructions, clean the screen, make sure it's dust and lint free, start at the top of the screen and work your way down, be patient and work with it. The small bubbles are virtually invisible when the screen is lighted anyway. I've only managed once to completely get ALL the bubbles out but even with a few small bubbles, I wouldn't be without one on my iPAQ.

Better than others...,

I have tried other adhesive screen protectors and I always return to this one. With just a little patience (less than 3 minutes of your time) they can be applied bubble free. I have also not found any evidence of the adhesive ruining my screen and I have been using them pretty consistently for 3 years. I do not do much handwriting on my iPAQ and so cannot speak to that sensitivity, but have not noticed problems with sensitivity for other stylus functions. And the image seems just as clear as without the protector. Also, I had no "Fellowes"/copyright label printed on the protectors as earlier reviews had mentioned.

Works fine, takes practice,

I've been using these for about a year and they work very well, in my experience lasting for several months. They improve the feel of the screen, but I haven't noticed that they improve visibility...on the other hand they don't seem to degrade it either. In my case they have not damaged the screen in any way, they remove very cleanly so you can use a new sheet. They take practice to apply, and each of us will figure out our own technique. It's important to clean the screen first, and do the application in a lint free environment like a bathroom as opposed to your computer desk. Don't panic when you see some bubbles after the application, they will go away by themselves in a few days...but you really should try to get most of them eliminated during the application process if possible. I'm very satisfied with the product, all things considered.

Upon applying the WriteRight to my iPaq, I must admit, I was wondering what kind of bogus accessory had I fallen for--air bubbles abounded despite some rather patient handiwork. I decided to give it a few days, since the product received strong reviews on cnet.com--it paid off--within 3 or 4 days, every hint of a bubble had completely disappeared. I simply could not tell that the plastic was on the screen, except for the reduced glare perhaps (it was working).Fellowes recommends that the WriteRight be changed monthly. On schedule, the plastic film seemed smudged and in need of replacement after four weeks--better the film than the iPaq screen itself. Recommend.

Poor Design,

Blurs images slightly, actually reduces handwriting recognition (more recognition mistakes-less tolerant), and the "Fellows" label on the overlay actually covers part of the toolbar. Must be something better out there somewhere.

Protector Good, Adhesive bad,

The adhesive will ruin your screen. I don't understand why you are going to pay 20 dollars to "protect" your screen when it's in fact not helping you at all. I bought them and then heard that they were tough to put on. I still tried but, it is very difficult. I would reccommend going to the compaq website and going under ipaq accessories. They sell them there for 16 dollars with screen protectors without adhesive. Also this does not increase sensitivity, it reduces it. How is something like this going to actually increase it? Well i'll leave it up to you if you want to destroy your screen.
