About the Author
Michael now lives in Southern California where he performs stand-up comedy on a regular basis while also pursuing his acting and art careers. He is currently working on a new project called The Blonde Squad, which is about a team of shallow superheroes in Los Angeles.

If you are a fan of Drag Race on Logo - you will love this book. Her drag and sexuality took a back seat to her talent, music and beauty. Her music hit the airwaves in the 90's, she was an instant hit and was for the most part accepted by the masses! My favorite part was her bitch fight with America's first drag queen tranny chaser Milton Berle. Cover art is a 90's throwback with the paint splatter background - interior art is well done likenesses are good and the story is solid. People should not expect War and Peace there is only so much that can be stuffed into a 22 page comic. A few spelling errors (99.9% of books have them)--- No shade given here!

I was very disappointed with this comic. It did not tell RuPaul's life story as I thought it would. There were SO many typos and fact checking that was not done by editor Bea Kimera. How hard is it to edit a comic book. The publishers lost out on a great opportunity and really missed the mark with this.

The art wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Sadly, this was less a history of Ru, and more of a series of similar drawings of the super model of the world with catchphrase word bubbles. Disappointing. Short of other that I wasted $2 on a lacklustre comic about the commercial success of Rupaul rather than something more meaningful-like Ru' s own books.
