Like other reviewers, the mannequin is not heavy duty, it will topple over if you use heavy fabric. The benefit of being light is its portability.

The packaging of the mannequin is poor. It was dirty and i had to vacuum and wash the mannequin's coverings. THe base was also chipped, the busts were slightly lopsided - seemed to me it was a returned item and i unluckily got it. I probably won't be ordering from them again. However, this is a really cheap dress form and would just do the trick if you use light fabric.

Edit in: I received an email from Mannequin Hub apologizing for the inconvenience and offered a partial refund or a full refund. Since I am working on a project, I opted to receive a partial refund instead. It was nice of them to contact me and address the issue at hand and I was about to be willing to make another purchase with them later.

However, after responding to their email, the had sent me a second email asking me to remove my review. I thought that was silly, especially when I was in the process of writing a better review for them...I now feel like they have attempted to bribe me with $20 to eliminate my honest review of the item.

This dress form is a steal for the price. Easy to drape and stick pins in. I only wish it swiveled or had wheels.

this is the best dress form you can find for the price! it was exactly what I expected and it even comes with an extra white jersey covering. perfect!

I have been a custom seamstress for over ten years and have never purchased a dress form or mannequin. I knew so many people in the field, my mother and I collected a half dozen forms of all sizes and types.
From what I've used, I knew what I wanted. I really liked the idea of pinning into the form, so plastic, adjustable was out of the question. I also needed to order on-line and I needed it to be under $100 including shipping.
I found this form on several different sites, and was so excited when I was able to order it for $80 including shipping, amazing deal!!
It arrived really quick, within a week. As soon as I opened the box I was happy. It was very well packaged and all the pieces were intack and fit together perfect. (I can even admit to dancing around with my new partner, Bianka).
My only complaint was after I tried to fit my first garment onto the form I realized it was not small enough. I am a size 2-4 (33-26-36). I had ordered this under the impression it would be my size, but it wasn't. It measures more like a barbie than me. The bust is 36 1/2, the waist is a 24 and the butt, thankfully is 36.
All in all, this will work fine, but now I know why its a "mannequin." It is my most beatiful form so far, and it is sturdy enough for my needs. I am sure I'll have this piece in my collection forever!

I purchased this dress form for my budding fashion designer daughter. She wanted the real thing and she got it! I had considered a more technical size adjustable version but for her purposes (drapping, beginner pattern-making of her own designs)this more decorative yet functional style was perfect. It shipped and arrived on-time. The assembly took only a few minutes. I was very pleased with the quality of the wood base. The form is, sturdy, height adjustable, and easy to pin to. She was thrilled! Of course if she grows out of this stage, which is highly unlikely, Parsons here we come, the form will serve as a fun room accessory to display scarves and clothes. The only negative was that I thought it was supposed to come with a black jersey cover for the bodice as well. Maybe that was a different one. I did look at several before picking this one.

I ordered this product for my 15year old daughter who is interested in fashion as a prop for her room. It was a good buy for the money and for my intended purpose, however this is NOT the product for the experienced seamstress! The pole (leg) is made of very thin and hollow metal (unlike the wooden leg shown in the photo) and with a great amount of wear and tear would more than likely fall right apart.

easy set up, light weight. easy to carry around. the only down side is the form dosen't sit exactly at the middle of the pole like you see in the picture. but, over all am impressed.

I just received my mannequin and so far I really like it. It has a hallow kind of base on the inside and the outside is a piece of cotton material. I'm guessing I can place the pins through the cotton material. Great product.

This was a Christmas gift to my mom who sells a lot of clothing. I had not looked at the item before she opened it on Christmas. The wood on the stand was molding and gross and broke to pieces when she lifted it out of the box. It was clear that the item had been sitting around a poor storage area, probably wet. I was extremely disappointed with the purchase. After contacting the seller, I received a new wood base for the mannequin the next day and a partial refund. However, I still had to let the body of the mannequin sit outside my house for a week so the smell of mold would air out completely.

I'm a fashion designer and needed an affordable dressform. I searched long for this one. I'm glad I purchased it. Its a great form for you to develop your skills till your ready to buy the 300+ commercial forms used in design school and the industry.I love mine!!! I wish i'd bought the one on wheels or the flat metal base though. Shipping was super quick!! As other reviews stated it def had its cons but that's expected for something at this pricepoint
