A Welcome Option
on April 17, 2014
I am a professional a/v installer, we also do networking and cabling. Many of our projects include security cameras. With POE we often have pre terminated cables that we run from the DVR/NVR to the cameras. I had a hard time finding reliable keystone Cat6 female to female connectors. Since I have started using these, we have had no failures and no issues with connectivity. These also help clean up our install by allowing a plate to be placed and the keystone inserted - what the customer(and everyone) see's is a clean keystone plate, with the camera pigtail plugged into that plate. Protecting the plate allows us to insert the female/female keystone. We are happy because we do not have to cut the end off the Ethernet cable and then terminate with either a male plug or a female keystone. Time saved is money earned. Better aesthetics, more professional appearing install and also if we need to extend a cable for length on really long runs, these have been superb.
