Yoga master Angela Farmer has gone to places to which few have been. But with her amazing teaching, she does beckon an ever-increasing group of students to follow. Most yoga classes in the US are obsessed with fitness, form, and fashion. The equilateralness of your triangle and the narrowness of your thighs is seen as a proxy for enlightenment in too many classes. Angela Farmer has been to the land of perfect yoga and returned. What she discovered, as she hacked a path through jungles unexplored by teachers of "approved" yoga, was the fundamental connection between her body and the rest of the universe. This shows itself as an amazing FLOW in her asanas, that doesn't go according to some prescribed pattern, but rather the ripples in her soul. Those who have studied with her have seen their bodies free of internal muscular stress for the first time in their lives, as Angela encourages them to move to music they've never been willing to listen to. This amazing video shows the result, as Angela and her students show the real yoga; union of mind, body, and spirit. It is a transformative experience.

This is simply the finest yoga instruction video I have ever watched. It gives an excellent direction to work towards in your personal practice. As a yoga instructor I found it inspiring.

Be forwarned: this is a somewhat interesting video of Ms Farmer's philosophy and life story. It is not a complete practice session. The clips of her classes are not enough for a viewer who primarily wants to practice yoga along with the video.
