Book Description

0073196088 978-0073196084 April 6, 2007 7
The most widely used anthology of feminist writings and the first to incorporate issues of sexual orientation and sexual diversity, Feminist Frontiers has stood the test of time. With classic and contemporary readings that cut across disciplines and generational lines, Feminist Frontiers presents the full diversity of women's issues and experiences, exploring their similarities as well as their interconnected differences. Feminist Frontiers offers analyses of the causes and consequences of gender inequality in a global context and introduces students to feminist theory and methodology. A sociological analysis opens each of the four parts and eleven sections of the book. Boxed inserts featuring personal stories, news articles, and other items from popular culture complement the readings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something for Everyone!, August 6, 2008
This review is from: Feminist Frontiers (Paperback)
This book is a compilation of essays done by both male and female authors. It shows the diversity of topics, issues, and points of views of feminists. This book was my text book for Women's Studies 101 and I didn't have to read all of it for the class, but I found myself reading a lot of the other essays because the topic was interesting to me or I identified with it or it was a topic I wanted to know more about. It broadened my view of how feminists aren't just about equality for women, but for everyone including breaking stereotypes that men have to endure. I kept this book even after my class was over. I recommend this book to everyone !
