Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Feminist hopes and aspirations, feminist analysis and action have fed my spirit since the '60's. I have been delighted to witness women discovering and claiming their own native energies and desires, naming God, themselves, the church and the world out of their own experience. The church's feminization has begun. The process will be complete when women's voices, gifts, energy, and creativity are given free rein, and when their power and authority in the church are commensurate with their service and responsibility.

This review is from: The Feminization of the Church? (Paperback)
I am so grateful to Kaye Ashe for writing such a concise, readable text relating to the complex issues that face women in the Catholic Church today. I have been researching this subject for over ten years, and I am always looking for good reference material for adult education classes. This will be an excellent resource because it covers the subject in such a way that it can be adaptable to many levels of learning experiences. I hope the book finds its way into the hands of every spiritual director and also the college classroom for it is timely and challenging. We owe such a debt to Kaye Ashe and the many women theologians whose prophetic voices will help bring about the spiritual transformation of our church. I loved this book; it gives me hope.
