I love the how it looks how it plays. I have blisters on my fingers already but i love that feeling of hard work

I just picked this up on Amazon's Lightning Deals for a very good price. I have never owned/played before so I don't have any first hand knowledge about the sound quality of the guitar. However, what I can say is that I took into a musical instrument store who gave it a once over. They advised that it was a great sounding guitar before they noticed that it was an acoustic electric. After that they thought it was a really great deal. They advised me that the "action" was way too high, about twice as high as it should be. I would say it was a solid 3/8in. gap near the base of the neck. I also had a guitar junkie friend of mine play it and check it out. He agreed with the music shop in the opinion that it was a great buy and sounded good for the price. Now for some information about the whole package: The guitar came well packaged with all its contents in a box from Fender. In the box came the pre strung guitar, guitar strap, case, 3 picks, DVD (haven't watched yet), battery for the on board tuner, brand new pack of strings (medium), small guitar cord and a stand alone tuner. The guitar came pre-strung and out of tune, (for shipping reasons/temp. swings) and another pack of brand new strings. Both sets of strings appear to be medium sized strings (The second day I had the guitar I restrung it with light string for my virgin figures.) The on-board Fishman Tuner isn't the best, every note registers on the low side consistently (maybe I got a bad one, I don't know?) my buddy's trained ear and the stand alone tuner confirmed this. I haven't plugged it into an amp so I can't comment on that feature. The guitar strap is pretty basic, hooks on the body and a shoe sting gets tied around the neck. The case was very cheap/thin and has a weak zipper that gets put on by starting at the tip of the neck and shimming it all the way to the bottom of the guitar as there is only a small hole at the bottom. The case is not very practice unless you are going to use it to keep dust off but not a deal breaker considering the rest of the package. I thought the set of brand new replacement strings were a nice touch. The stand-alone tuner works great, you can set it on your lap or plug the guitar right into it. The cord is about 3 ft in length. All in all, Great Starter Guitar would recommend for any beginners.
