5.0 out of 5 stars Slinky sounding instrument comes close to the sound of a stand up bass in a tiny package
Sometimes the electric bass just has the wrong sound for a song. Sometimes you need something that does not buzz, or force you to stick to frets. A fretless bass gets you halfway there, but many of those instruments have metal wound strings which buzz. Of course, if you are in a really big band, the roadies will carry your double bass.

1.0 out of 5 stars I like wierd....but....
.....this just did not feel comfortable. The rubber strings felt,...well like rubber. I had to use baby powder to move up and down the strings. They were sticky and kept falling out of the grooves on the neck. I have heard some people really like this bass. I would suggest find it in a local shop and test it and go home and think about it then come back and test it again...

I purchased it on line and got stuck with it because too much time went by, so I could not return it. When I traded it in I only got $75 for it. Good luck.

This instrument sounds good. It sounds unique. It plays like a fretless marked bass, but the sound, to me, has the overtones of a bass that stands taller than some people do.

This is because of the silicone strings. They do not vibrate as fast as traditional strings. So you can use them with a piezo bridge tuner. The silicone strings also allow it to be lightweight and strong enough.

First one I got would not hold tune. Machines were defective, they would slip. They tested the ones in the back when I returned it and sent a lot of them back, so it took a couple weeks to get mine.

I love the sound, it sounds a little like an amplified upright, but easier to play, short reach, and light - just as light as a feather, does not tear up your fingers.

Play it lightly, most bases need a heavy hand, these can be played with a light touch.

I wish I could have bought the one he was selling for $75.

It would make a great kid's instrument, too, not like a #20 ukulele but like a half size bass. It is physically small so a kid who wants to make a big sound but who can't reach a full sized bsss guitar. Carry strings with you, they may not be availsble.
