5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Package and Works Great, December 14, 2007

This review is from: Fender Passport Deluxe Plus 250-Watt Portable Sound System (Electronics)
I purchased one of these about a year ago and we've used it many times since. We bought the integrated wireless option which makes using the microphone quick & easy - nothing to connect.

The best feature (besides the great sound) is the portability. When the speakers are clamped to the side, it's an easy thing to carry.

Two minor complaints - first there isn't enough storage space in the back of the unit when you install the wireless receiver. I wish there was enough to store the cord & speaker wires.

Second, the speaker connections are just 1/4" jack and aren't too secure. Would be nice to have something a bit more reliable hanging from the front of the speaker.

Overall, great unit.

We use this for an outdoor sports event. It is simple to set up and operate. The complete system is fairly heavy (I think almost 60 pounds) but it has a handle and is manageable. It produces enough volume for our purposes. (We found the volume was very low when using a mic we already had, but as soon as we used the ones that come with it, voila, plenty of sound.) It has a small storage compartment for cables and mics.

We would have liked longer speaker cables, or at least one that was longer, and would have paid more for a system that can get rained on.

But the bottom line is that we are happy with the purchase and would recommend it for similar purposes.

4.0 out of 5 stars wonderful product short only one feature, October 4, 2008

This system is everything you could expect for the 250-watt size, and more. It delivers a very clean sound both outdoors and in, and will fill up a medium-sized restaurant/bar/dance floor with sound without strain.

The one head-scratcher is no remote for the CD player. Considering the typical use for this (DJ, KJ, etc), you'd think they would have boosted the price $30-50 and offered a remote for the CD player. As it is, when I'm doing a show I have to use an external CD player so I'm not constantly fiddling with the unit between songs, etc.

But for acoustic, small non-rock band, or singer's use, this is a solid system.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Fender Passport brings power, quality, versatility, and value, February 18, 2010

This review is from: Fender Passport Deluxe Plus 250-Watt Portable Sound System (Electronics)
The Fender Passport PA System offers the best in terms of professionalism, quality, dependability, versatility, performance and value.

No, I don't work for Fender or for Amazon.com, they aren't paying me for my comments here and in fact they probably have never heard of me and don't even know who I am. So, for what an honest, unbiased opinion is worth, take it from me, just another consumer looking for a good deal like you, but one who has used the Fender Passport system for many years.

Demand the very best -- pick up a Fender Passport System (with the low prices from Amazon.com) for your next event, for in-home use, parties, and random announcing and amplified activities. With the economy in the tank thanks to Obamanomics, I've been seriously considering setting up the Fender Passport alongside the on-ramp to the nearby Interstate to boldly declare: WILL ANNOUNCE FOR FOOD!

Check the specs on this great Fender Passport unit; it's basically a very fine, high-quality, fully self-contained portable public address system with several inputs and outputs, two great speakers, a microphone, plus the power cord and cables necessary, all bundled together with the great results we've gotten from Fender for so many eyars.

The Fender Passport cranks out tons of power, more than I've ever, ever needed. One of the neatest things is that it all fits together into one fantastic package that weighs less than forty pounds.

The Fender Passport looks great and works great, it's all good with Fender, yes, indeed, a name you can trust that's been around since before most of us were born.

As a professional announcer, I've been using the Fender Passport off and on (no pun intended) since 1998 and can testify to the many fine attributes that this system has.

I recommend the great Fender Passport sincerely and give it my highest personal and professional rating.

Let me also add, with Amazon.com standing behind you and everything they offer, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Amazon has great prices and you can easily fit this into your budget.

Put it on the credit card today and start using your very own Fender Passport this week. Let me know the results; I wish you all the best, always. Take care.
