Not only does this Super Reverb look great (Burgundy & Wheat) but, also sounds Killer! My 58 Les Paul RI sounds awesome through this amp. Tons of fat tone. Plug in my JB Strat and I'm floored. Just tons and tons of tone from this amp. The Celestion G10 Greenbacks (4 of 'em) roar and clean up nicely. Glad Fender decided to make these again. Best amp in the Fender line up in IMHO. It has awesome reverb and tremolo. Takes pedals very well. Get yourself one, you won't regret it.

It works well with all my guitars; but, it really seems to bring out the best of the Strats.

Totally satisfied with the amp and Cream City service.

Just got the 65 Super Reverb Burgundy Wheat FSR today. It looks every bit as gorgeous in person as it does in the photos. Now keep in mind I am not a professional by any stretch but I have been playing on and off for about 28 years. Over the last year I decided I wanted to try to get into a blues band with other guys/gals in their 40's/50's for a fun project, maybe a summer gig or two. I decided on the SRV tone if I could get close.
I bought an SRV Artist series ($1,699 version) and also a 62 Vintage Hot Rod Strat. Guitars were covered. Now keep in mind its been years since I experimented with any kind of tone or sound and was never in a serious band. Just have a decent grasp of blues pentatonic scales. Also since I was not so serious, my budget was limited to around $500-700.00 at the most. So, first amp was a Blackstar Club 40 based on all the hype I was hearing. Brought it back in a few days. Next was a Marshall DSL 40. Pretty good but lacked certain quality, not enough Fender kind of clean type tone (I knew SRV used Marshall too). That went back in a few days. Then went over budget with a Fender Hot Rod Deville III ($929.00) which I thought was as good as I would get. 6 months later I found I was wrong after selling the Deville and scraping up more cash and getting this amp. Loved the clean sound immediately but needed more. Went right out and bought a Fulltone OCD. The OCD made this amp an SRV monster! I also have a Fulltone Plimsoul and I use that for lead boost and its SRV heaven with unbelievable sustain and no noise! I hope these shared experiences save some of you a lot of time, money and frustration. Classic Fender power and tone which was the first - and remains the only way to get that tone! Warning: must practice a lot more because mistakes are easily heard!
