Sounds good right out of the box.

The back of the guitar allows the wood grains to show through and the Rosewood Fingerboard adds a soft look and feel to the smooth Maple Neck.

The construction and sound of the Stratocaster is amazing. There is not one flaw that I could find anywhere from fit and finish to tone and ease of play. One super value for anyone loving the Fender sound

I had been wanting this model for a long time and for $100 less than all of the other sellers this was the best choice. It came set up right and ready to play. Thanks!

** I own the 'Plus Top" version of this guitar, but wanted to review here because it is pretty much the same guitar. **

I had been looking for a Fender Stratocaster to get that Strat sound through my new Marshall MG30CFX (also reviewed on Amazon). I have heard good things about the Mexican Made Strats and went to a store to check them out. The American Standard is a tad heavier in the body and the pups are a bit more crisp. The American Standard also has a 22 fret neck where this one is 21 frets. Other than some minor hardware differences this guitar is just as playable as it's more expensive counterpart.

The finish is what sold me in the end. The Tobacco Edges which almost have a hint of wine color fade beautifully to a Honey finish over an awesome Flame Maple Top. The back of the guitar allows the wood grains to show through and the Rosewood Fingerboard adds a soft look and feel to the smooth Maple Neck. I can find absolutely NO FLAWS in the finish. The chrome input jack has a few small rough spots, but that is about it.

The guitar sounds good as is and is playable out of the box. I was concerned about the quality of the pickups, but this thing sounds amazing whether played through my Zoom G5 or directly through my combo amp. Down the road a piece I figured I would end up replacing the stock pups with an upgrade, but the more I play it, the happier I am just the way it is.. For the $$ I doubt I will ever find another Brand New Guitar that is set up like this. The lowest priced American Standard is still going to set you back around $800 and will have just a basic finish. If you are wanting a Strat but unsure of getting a Mexican Made unit because of quality, IMO this should suit you just fine.

These guys did a great job in ensuring the guitar reached me on time and faster than the allocated delivery time. They really helped me out, plus my dad loves his birthday present. This guitar is one the best i have ever come across. Thanks guys! Great service! Thank you!

Bought this to have a Strat, although it was made in Mexico, it was enough since I'm not a professional player. My technician is upgrading the pickups and adjusting the neck.

Great guitar!
BUT, mine came with a dent on the body, lucky me! Anyways, on the long run it will get beaten up. I don't know if it was from shipping or from me carrying it.
Another thing, mine came with nut buzz on the D string, but nothing annoying.
Nothing much to tune, it is well calibrated from factory.
Sounds beautiful, i think that is what it matters...
Great for beginner, amateur or pro!
