I bought this guitar on a whim (I was wanting an acoustic guitar that I could hook up to my amp). I love my Fender Telecaster electric (the neck feels good in my hand)so I thought "What the heck"! This is a nice guitar for the money. Like everything though, it has it's strenghts and weakness.
PROS: It has nice action and handles like a TELE electric up and down the neck. It it doesn't fly out of tune to bad if you haven't played it in a few days. Nice construction. I like the polymer backing. The finish is great. It is only a bit wider than a Les Paul Custom, so most players that use electric guitars will feel right at home with it's design (not "bulky" like say a "Dreadnought" style guitar). It does have a built in tuner and is ready to hook up to your amp out of the box!
CONS: This in my opinion is NOT an "acoustic" guitar in the strict sense of the word. It is an electric guitar. Like a Gibson 335 etc. Hollow body with electric capability. It has a very "thin" sound unplugged. I was very displeased with this until I plugged in to my amp. Problem solved! Adjust your BASS on the guitars built in electronics a bit to bring out a "richer" tone and it sounds great. You won't be setting around the camp fire with this one though. The sound unplugged is just not there. It is made in CHINA (aren't most things today), that sort of sucks. To many things are made over seas that have the name FENDER, GIBSON, JACKSON etc. But that's a diffrent "soapbox". The "bone" in the bridge have the strings way to high from the neck for my taste. Easy to fix, just shave the back of the "bone" to taste yourself or take it to your local guitar shop and have them install another to your liking. The built in tuner also doesn't seem to tune it correctly. At least to my ear.

I like this guitar, but understand it does not have the rich acoustic sound of a full size acoustic guitar. For the price, what you are getting is a narrow acoustic/electric with reasonable acoustic sound. The built in tuner is fantastic, I wish every guitar had this.. really nice.

Bought this to relearn guitar after a 30 year period of inactivity. So far, so GREAT! Better tone than I was expecting, based on other reviews, and it plays wonderfully. Tuner works very well, also. Amplified, it sounds even better. Add to that the ability to contour the tone with the EQ controls, and you've got yourself one really excellent value!
THANKS, Fender!

This is a nice guitar. Yes, it's not top of the line, so if you're serious about your acoustic guitar playing, don't make this your main guitar, but for an electric player like me, it's an excellent choice for the money. I did have to shim and adjust the neck to get the action right when I got it, I recommend taking it to a guitar shop, or doing that yourself when it arrives.
