I am extremely new to the guitar and I don't have a lot of money so I decided to buy this guitar. When it came, I took it out and was impressed. Granted I have never touched a real Fender Strat, but this guitar is built well. Unlike another reviewer, the frets were finished properly(no sharp edges). For a beginners guitar I think it is very nice.

The package did not have all the items in it, but Amazon's phone customer service is awesome. Thank you Amazon.

For the first electric guitar, I say it's pretty good, I played acoustic before but wanted to try something new so I bought this and so far it meets my expectations, the clean sounds good, the "distortion" is okay for strumming but I suggest to buy a pedal, which I did. So for starters this is GREAT!!

It's hard to believe that you can buy a guitar, amp, strings, strap, cable and picks for this price. Great product!

I am a semi-professional saxophone player (mid-college) and have dabbed with other instruments such as guitar. Recently, I was awarded a sum of money. After spending the bulk of it on a new tenor saxophone, I decided to go out on a limb (after reading countless reviews) on this guitar and amp set. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and musicality of this guitar. This is by no means a professional guitar, but it is not garbage. It arrived less than a week after ordering and I was playing in no time. This was my first electric guitar (a large step up from my harmony acoustic guitar) and I highly recommend it to a beginer/moderate player.

Hey, for $84.50 who can complain-I go nuts when it's compared to a $300+ guitar. It stays in tune for days with my hammering on it, and I aint no EC. Fine as a starter, if I want to take this guitar thing further, sure I'll pick up a more refined setup, but for now this is great. It is not a piece of junk, just a chinese knockoff of a strat squier. For what it is, it does extremely well for this price point.

Good starter guitar and amp. Why go out and buy a expensive guitar and amp when your not sure if your going to be serious enough about it? The amp has a bit of a funny noise and easily gets distorted, but again the amp is small. I picked up a tuner called 'Snark' and had the guitar tuned in no time. I've been playing with it for a few days for many hours a time and it's still in tune. So, not sure what people are saying about it going out of tune easily.

I bought this package when it was on intense sale, And it is amazing for its price. I can play anything i want with it the amp is magnifique! and the only problems i had were, It DOES NOT come with a: Tuner, Gig-Bag, Stand, or dvd. everything else is there. other than that im impressed!

Guitar:
pro: 5 way switch and a stick, you can have a lot of fun with that. overall not bad at all for someone just trying out for an eg, action's ok, neck's ok, holds tune. tone is yea..sure.
con: noisy, the noise can be eliminate on stage if you turn the volume to 0. the noise is probably cause by the pick-up, is it caused by the single-coil? I doubt. Also, volume nob's too close to strings so I tend to turn it accidentally while playing, very annoying but may be eliminated through careful playing, maybe.

amp:
pro: overdrive bottom gives you lots of fun to play with, 10wt's loud enough playing at home. Also the headphone jack's very convenient
con: noisy and the tone is acceptable (in reality i want to put haha..).

accessories are not bad at all.
you get the fender picks and the 1/4" cable lasts well and functions well.

Overall I would say if you have some extra cash, grab yourself a better guitar and amp and stuff. But if you're tight on budget, this is not a bad starter kit, especially there are sales once awhile.

there's also two ways you could go with the guitar in the future, either sold it(duh), or put a better pick-up/neck/tuner on it and it'd be a totally different thing.
As for the amp, just get rid of it when you have a chance.

Ok so this is a absolute amazing starter guitar and if your planning to begin or basically want a new guitar, You need this one! Perfect as a gift and this has a amazing price too a guitar with everything you need! A amp, the guitar (Of course), a strap, three picks and a cord for the amp to plug in to your guitar. So all of this for about $ 100.00 is a great price to pay! Get this guitar! Best for both beginners and experts! I highly recommend this to everybody! :D
