I love the bass. Wide thin neck nice and light. Fit and finish are excellent.
The pickup is gutsy and articulate. The neck is a perfect size for my hands so they don't get tired when playing over an hour. I rehearsed with it last night and didn't feel tired afterward. The look is really cool like a black and white tux. I feel confident playing it.
Great bass and great price. Fenders marriage to Gretsch is a winner. Love the Cabronitas.

8th Street Music is my new favorite vender. I had a problem with shipping and they were quick to respond. What more could you ask for?

This is a nice playing inexpensive guitar. It is pretty much a no frills unit, but has a nice sound to it. Fender seems to not give any thought to setup and the Fenders I have purchased both came with the action set much too high. I fear this is part of their refusal to do any actual quality control and allows them to ignore fret induced string buzz issues until the end user forces them to fix it. I just returned a Fender Starcaster semi-hollow body bass, that cost more than twice the Carbonita, and was a complete pile of crap. That experience really made the Carbonita look good by comparison. The lesson here is - don't place any faith in that name brand - at least not where Fender is concerned. I have bought several Epiphone guitars and they were all well made and required only minor setup to play nicely. The ESP B-205 bass I bought was the best value for the money hands down.
