About Fendi
In 1925, a young couple, Edoardo and Adele Fendi, opened a little handbag shop along the Via del Plebiscito in Rome. Noted for the quality of its products and craftsmanship, the business grew and expanded, and the Fendi name soon became known throughout Italy. In the 1960s, Fendi began its collaboration with fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, and the Fendi label, now easily identified by its famous Double F logo, grew to become a major influence on the international fashion scene. Now influenced by the third generation of Fendi family members, including Silvia Venturini Fendi, designer of the famous Fendi Baguette bag which achieved near cult-status in the late 1990s, the Fendi label continues to surprise and inspire the fashion scene worldwide.
