This is one of eight books from the feng shui fundamentals series by the vibrant Lillian Too. The theory behind this edition is that if you harness the energy, or
chi, of your home by following the Chinese principles of feng shui, then you'll encourage good luck and longevity. (Just as the practice of tai chi stimulates the energy of the body, feng shui stimulates the energy of your environment.) If you're wondering why there's a picture of a turtle of all things on the cover, it's because turtles--either live or in pictures--are thought to activate good feng shui. Some of the illustrations of arrangements for good feng shui are commonsensical: it's not a good thing to sleep a floor below a toilet, for instance, or live next door to a cemetery, hospital, or prison. Through full-color diagrams, Too reveals dozens of easy ways to keep yin and yang energy in control through lighting, seating arrangements, and the placement of furniture and appliances. This is a perfect introduction for feng shui novices.
