Good book for beginners and experts alike,
This review is from: Feng Shui For Homebuyers - Interior: A definitive Guide on Interior Feng Shui for Homebuyers (Paperback)
I have been Feng Shui consultant for many years and am always looking for good books for myself and my clients. I now recommend this one (and its counterpart: Feng Shui For Homebuyers - Exterior).
I can tell the author has put a lot of effort into writing this book. The topics are well thought through. The diagrams and illustrations are very well done. It is step by step and very easy to follow. This book focuses on classical Feng Shui and clears up a lot of misunderstanding regarding this science. That is why I recommend it to all my clients. It saves a lot of explaining to what Feng Shui really is, what is important (and not) and they can do for themselves. I love the Chapter on "What is not important in interior Feng Shui". That is usually the first chapter I tell everyone to read! I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book,

I have read many many books on feng shui and nothing comes close to this! I learnt more in the first few chapters than I have reading the last 3 - 4 books by other authors. There is so much misunderstanding and myth about the subject and Joey Yap helped me clear up so many questions and find my answers.
It is all very simple. Tap into the QI. All you have to do is align yourself and your home to tap into the Qi. Everything else is fluff. Amazing! If you are a feng shui nut like me, you probably have been reading a lot on the subject. And like me, you are probably getting more and more confused. My advise to you is- read this book.

New Home Buyer,

This review is from: Feng Shui For Homebuyers - Interior: A definitive Guide on Interior Feng Shui for Homebuyers (Paperback)
I've recently decided to that it was time for me to buy my first house and being the first for me and my girlfriend, i wanted to make sure that it was the best value our money can get! So i've met up with property agents, finance brokers and read quite a few feng shui books , and trust me, i've not came across another feng shui book that is as comprehensive and easy to learn!
The best thing that i've found about this book is that it firstly addresses all the folklores that have been passed on to me by my parents and grandparents and what not (a sigh of relief on my part - no need for big toad statues in front of my dream house). Secondly, it laid out easy steps to identify what you should avoid in your bedroom, kitchen, main door and etc. (seems easy enough, without having to place ornaments, wind chimes as proposed by other books) and lastly, the best trait that i've realised about the book is that the author has put in a lot of thought and effort to relate the examples, cases and information to a new homebuyer or even just anyone who is planning to redesign the interior of his/her house. Kudos! A superb guide for first home buyers like myself.

I got this book after reading the Feng Shui for Homebuyers - Exterior book. Similarly, this book contained a lot of colourful pictures which made it easy to read and understand. I've also begun seeing some positive results from the implementation of the techniques learnt. A useful book for a better home - at least for me!

This book is an easy to read, with many photos and pictures making it really simply to understand basics.
It gives you fast facts about FS.It's a book i would tell other people to buy,IF they have already learnt basic things and are interested in implementing them to their house or choosing to buy a new house. Also it makes note of a few myths and taboos about FS. It's not a book i would recommend to someone who just want to learn what FS is and this is the first book he would buy,you need to already know a few things. Enjoy reading it!

Found the lessons and anecdotes in this book to be quite a revelation. It is a complete departure from other commercially available Feng Shui books and publications. The book dispels a lot of myths, quite a funny read and I found myself laughing at some of the author's overt deadpan humour. The book is abound with many tips, pointers and lessons yet it is all well-arranged which makes it a methodical and organized read. Perfect companion to the 'Homebuyers - Exterior' book.
