5.0 out of 5 stars The simple way to Feng Shui...., August 27, 2001
This review is from: Feng Shui and the Tango in Twelve Easy Lessons (Paperback)
I have read Feng Shui and Tango, I have also given it as gifts to friends that are not understanding the basics about Feng Shui from books they have read. Unless it is explained thoroughly, Feng Shui can be quite confusing. I teach advanced Feng Shui, and this is one of the books I strongly recommend to my students. It is truly the first book that puts all the theory into prospective and no other book yet has made the Baqua as easy to understand. With their charming wit and humor, this is a must read. It really puts an end to the confusion...love it

5.0 out of 5 stars An amalgam of American-style Feng Shui, November 11, 2001
This review is from: Feng Shui and the Tango in Twelve Easy Lessons (Paperback)
Thoughtfully illustrated with simple, black-and-white brush-style minimalist drawings, Ralph and Lahni DeAmicis' Feng Shui And The Tango In Twelve Easy Lessons is an amalgam of American-style Feng Shui, uniquely adapted from the ancient Chinese practice by incorporating Western design tradition, ergonomics, color theory, and human psychology. An insightful guide to renovating one's daily environment, and specifically written to help the reader improve his or her living environment, and an invaluable aid for creating designs to better support goals and dreams, Feng Shui And The Tango In Twelve Easy Lessons covers everything except for actual illustrated Tango dance steps and is a highly recommended and much appreciated addition to any Feng Shui reading list or reference collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feng Shui and the Tango, August 27, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Feng Shui and the Tango in Twelve Easy Lessons (Paperback)
Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down. The Deamicis have written a book that is filled with info that can be easily applied to the western way of living. It is a good book to use as a reference manual and true it isn't a history of Feng Shui but it was never meant to be that. The book is an easy read, with a modern approach to Feng Shui. The Deamicis are well respected in this field and have written a great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feng Shui made very simple, August 27, 2001

Laura Lewars (Langhorne, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Feng Shui and the Tango in Twelve Easy Lessons (Paperback)
I have always been interested in the art of Feng Shui. I have purchased many books on the subject and have always been confused by what was being said. The DeAmicis' book really makes it so a person can understand and apply their Feng Shui tips without hiring a professional. Using their tips I was able to Feng Shui my house and it looks beautiful. People ask who my decorator is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feng Shui and Tango, August 27, 2001
By
M Pocino (Burlington, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Feng Shui and the Tango in Twelve Easy Lessons (Paperback)
Feng Shui and the Tango is one of the best reads on Feng Shui that I have seen in a long time. It clearly explains in simple and easy terms, and from a Western perspective. Presently there are too many books out there that are based on the traditional ways. While tradition is a wonderful thing, this country is one that has a history of trying to create its own "tradition," and Feng Shui and the Tango exemplifys that. It discusses the idea of using symbols and ideas that are "appropriate" for this culture. Too many practitioners will utilize symbols that are part of the "tradition" of Feng Shui, but those symbols have no meaning to "our" culture. It discusses the Bagua in understandable terms and also discusses issues that many books do not, such as electromagnetics and indoor plumbing. These are two topics that traditional feng Shui never had to contend with. Over all this book is very comprehensive and Ralph & Lahni have a wonderful understanding of how Feng Shui can work best for us.

The DeAmicis' have created a graphic waltz with feng shui! They have mastered the complexity of the mysterious ways of feng shui and introduced it to all the lay people of the world with poetic yet simplistic terminology. It's a MUST read for anyone who wants to participate in life!
