Best carry flashlight I have ever owned!

I always carry a AA flashlight, and for years it was always a Maglite, but the Krypton bulb sometimes was not enough light, and the finicky nature of the device (I have used dozens of them) making me jiggle it to keep it working had me try the Maglite LED. That didn't last two days, jiggling often turned into pounding, and the color made it impossible to tell yellow wires from green ones.

I started searching for a AA LED Surefire, and one of the reviews directed me to look at this Fhenix for having longer battery life and brighter bulb for half the price!

I have used this lite daily for months now, and I tell anyone that asks that it is the best flashlight I have ever owned. It has three brightness settings, and low makes the battery last amazinly long. the only time I use a brighter setting is outdoors, and boy is it impressive when cranked up (at the cost of dramatically shorter battery life). On low it lasts me more than a month of daily use, with rechargable batteries, I just carry one set of charged spares. The bulb is factory set focus, not adjustable like the Maglite, but it is at an ideal setting, and simply informed me that all that two handed focusing was a waste of my time, it is great that I only need one hand with this light. Ruggedly built, real glass lense, so it doesn not easily scratch and cloud up from dirty work environment.

I have not used the included batteries or charger yet, I already had seets of rechargables that I continue to use in this light.

Great Light!

On the less than great side: the activation switch is on the side near the head, and it sometimes is activated while in the sheath. Battery life is so great that this rare occurence does not bother me.Read more ›

Great light, great bang for the buck

I dislike how long you have to hold on the button for the light to come on, but once it does come on, it's easy to switch through the modes.

The additional batterys and chargers are nice, though I will replace with Lithium batteries once i get a chance. The construction of the product is awesome.

If i had to buy one again, I'd probably stick with my e21 just because in my application I need a light that can be dropped over and over and over and the e21 on/off mechanism is on the back of the light protected.

Bright, Tough, and Crazy Bang for Your Buck!

The Fenix is by far the best torch I have ever owned. The spill light is impressive with a great spot in the center. If you buy this light and are not impressed then you are way too hard to please. After owning this light for a couple of months, I wouldn't think of buying another primary light other than a fenix. I'm so impressed with its performance that I will be picking up a couple for Christmas gifts. If your on the fence about a primary light then look no further, this is an awesome torch for an unbelievable price with four rechargeable batteries and a charger.
