Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fenix® L2T V2.0 Flashlight (Sports)
I'm a big gadget guy. I like just about anything that involves taking a simple concept and making it fricken awesome. A flashlight is a simple concept and this torch is awesome! The single LED packs an amazing punch on it's regular level and if you adjust the light to full power it's like holding a car's high beam in your hand. This is not the most powerful led flashlight, but it does use aa batteries instead of CR123s which to me is a huge bonus, and is extremely rugged after having dropped it a few times. Ditch your 3 foot maglite running on 8 D cell batteries and see the light! I definitely would recommend it to anyone.

Damn bright,
By So I hit the forums to see what was recommended, and the Fenix L2T was always held in high regard. The metal body is exactly the same length as the old MiniMag; only the rubber cap for the button sticks out a bare fraction of an inch longer. It just arrived today, and I'm very impressed with the brightness. It is *way* brighter than my old Mini-Mag. At first I put some new batteries in it when comparing. I then put my old batteries in the Fenix and the new batteries in the Mag, and it was still *way* brighter. I don't think a fistful of conventional bulb MiniMags could match the brightness of this light. The push-button tailcap is a big plus since I won't have to worry about accidentally turning it on now (many times I've found my batteries dead in my old MiniMag because the light had twisted on and I hadn't realized it). Turning the head simply switches between high and low output. My only gripe is that the flashlight holster is not really made to fit on a belt, but the old holster for the Mini-Mag fits it perfect. If you're looking for a replacement for an old MiniMag, this light is great. If I didn't carry it around, the MiniMag LED would probably suffice; I've seen them in person, and they're pretty bright, and seem to use the same tube body just with a longer head. But I figure I'll be wearing this thing for another ten years, and the extra cost is worth it.
