Book Description

March 30, 2007

Here's everything you need to know about going to a game at Fenway Park: how to get tickets, where to sit (and where not to), and the best places to eat, drink, and stay overnight.

Beloved by millions for its charm, uniqueness, and 95-year history, Fenway Park is a must-see for any baseball fan. This book can help make your trip to this hardball mecca even more memorable. It explains the dramatic improvements made to the park in the past 5 years, and shows how the new owners have made these changes without altering the essential character of Fenway. In addition, it is the only place you will find detailed diagrams showing exactly which seats have views blocked by the park's infamous poles.

From the author of Fenway Pole Finder and Boston Baseball Fan Guide, this book is essential for anyone who loves Fenway Park or plans on going there.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ideal gift for any member of Red Sox Nation, May 3, 2007

This review is from: Fenway! The Ultimate Fan's Guide to the Nation's Ballpark (Paperback)
If you know anyone who's a Red Sox fan, or a park-hopping baseball fan, or a new Boston-area resident, I can't think of a gift that's more practical and/or entertaining. Shea's charts ensure that you'll have a good view of the game; his materials on where to eat, where to stay, or where to park will help you make your visit that much more enjoyable. (And if you're new to the Nation, his explication of the Red Sox-Yankee rivalry will prove invaluable.)

5.0 out of 5 stars A great guide to Fenway..., September 7, 2006
By
H. D'AURIA (New Haven, CT) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
As a huge, lifelong Red Sox fan, I highly recommend this book. I've attended many games at Fenway in which I was disappointed to find once I arrived at the park that my view was obstructed. This is an excellent and straightforward guide to all of the seats at Fenway and can help fans avoid paying top dollar for seats that block important views like the pitcher's mound. The book also has great tips on restaurants and parking in the area. Overall, a must-have for Sox fans.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only covers Grandstand seats, December 22, 2010
This does a fair job of covering the Grandstand seating sections and includes the pole obstructions. It doesn't give a lot of detail about other features being obstructed beyond the pitcher's mound and home plate. Precise Seating [...] gives a much more detailed view of every seat in Fenway showing the obstructed area of the playing field so you know exactly what you're getting. Plus Precise Seating is free.
