Dame captures the essence of a visit to Fenway Park and mixes real world wisdom with practical tips for survival. This book contains everything you need to know if you are going to a Red Sox game. And...it really does fit in your pocket! My only question is: where are the other stadiums. I need a "Foxboro in your pocket" and the rest...

Fenway in your Pocket is a great guide,

Dame has put together a FANTASTIC guide to help maximize one of the great joys in spectator sports: going a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. His tips are practical and creative. From parking to eating, this book has it all. If Pesky's Pole intrigues you or if you want to know what words to yell at the latest overpaid Sox free agent who strikes out with the bases loaded, this book delivers the goods. A must for any true Sox fan!

This review is from: Fenway In Your Pocket: The Red Sox Fan's Guide to Fenway Park (Paperback)
The highlight of our recent trip to Boston was a game at Fenway. I bought the book for my husband who read it before we went and did not find it interesting. I read it when we got back and found very limited amount of specific information on Fenway. Much of it explained baseball and its oddities that are true in any park.Fenway was quite accessible, and easily navigated. The fans and stadium personnel were relaxed, outgoing, and quite helpful. The fans themselves can give you any tips or explain any oddball yells. The ones in the book were not heard. If you are going to enjoy the game and see the park, you don't need this book to do it. If you want to know the history and legends of Fenway, this book does not have it.
