Bought this reel to use for ice fishing. Mounted it on a custom Thorne Bros. 28" Power Noodle rod ... a perfect match. I also own a few Okuma SLV reels, but this is much better. I like the clickable drag setting. The drag is very smooth, as is the reel itself thanks to 2 bearings plus the anti-reverse bearing. I am able to subdue very large fish with this reel no problem. You won't find too many reels at this price point that have a machined aluminum frame. You can't go wrong with this reel. I plan on purchasing a few more, and I'd recommend this reel to anyone. Love it!
