My kids adore this CD. They constantly request it while we're riding in the car. They love the story of Ferdinand, but they also love the songs that follow his story. I'm amazed at how interested they've become in instruments (especially the violin)since they've been listening to this CD. My kids are 6 and 7 but they've been listening to this since they were 3 and 4. It's still a favorite after all these years. I wish Alan Ridout had more CDs of this type to offer kids. We sure would buy them if he did!

A cute and heartwarming story that any grandchild will love. Great reading! Your grandkids will listen intently all the way through.

I am not really conversant with children's music, but listened to this after having heard Ms. Lakisova in a concert. The CD does not really reveal the scope of her amazing talent at the piano, but I enjoyed the overall telling of the story and the way the music is integrated into the experience. I think any parent and child, or any person who enjoys fun music, will play this CD many times. Besides, Ms. Lakisova does not often record, so this is a rare treat!
