Indispensable for NEC Electrician's Exam December 1, 2011

During the Washington State Electrician's Exam (for my 07 Specialty License), I would first check the index in the NEC; if I couldn't find it there, I then checked Ferm's. I could almost always count on it to steer me in the right direction. I would not have passed the exam without it.

Pretty good Index November 13, 2011

I bought this book to go along with Tom Henry's index. The 2 compliment each other pretty well. This index as a much more in depth wording than tom henrys index however Tom Henrys seems to have more common in the field terminology. Both are great indexes and if taking an important test should both be purchased.

Vol 2 of this is a must have for open book exam February 19, 2011

The index Volume 1 is useless, Tom Henry's Keyword Index is much better. But Volume 2 of this 2 book set is a must-have for open book exams. I referred to it a lot, and still use it. It should be sold seperately.

Before you buy this, get the National Electrical Code HANDBOOK (buy it used) and the tabs for it. Also recommended is the Illustrated Guide to the NEC.

Totally useless . You are much better off purchasing the Code or its handbook . This book just is a listing of the different article numbers and pages . That's about it ! Read more

Great book!!

This is a great book if you are taking your exams but also is good to have handy in case you can't find something in the code book.
