I bought this at the book fair, trying to find an exciting adventure series for my son. This is the first book he truly could not put down. I read the first chapter to him and then he continued to read, after dinner, in the tub, before bed, until he finally finished it that same evening. It was great to see him enjoy reading so much. We are buying the next one in the series now.

Great "level 3" chapter book,
This review is from: Beast Quest #1: Ferno the Fire Dragon (Paperback)
I have to admit I was very nervous when my son (2nd grade, RL 3) picked out this book. I wanted to read it with him to make sure it was appropriate. It is about a 12 year old boy who is saving the kingdom from beasts that are destroying the land. The beasts are usually the protectors of the ancient kingdom but a sorcerer has put enchanted collars around their necks so they have started to do his bidding. The thing I really appreciate about this series is that the hero never has to kill the beast - only unlock their collars and then the beasts become friendly again. A great read for any child who loves adventure.

Beast Quest: Ferno the Fire Dragon, is a story about a kingdom plauged by a mysterious power that is drying up rivers, destroying villages and crops, and causing mast turmoil. A young boy namd Tom vows several times to defeat this power, and travels to the king's place. What goes on from there is great adventure, quick-paced action, and cool magic. For 2-3rd graders. The print is very large, and the story is very simple. But if I was in the lower grades, I would have thought it the next big series. But Adam Blade does a very good job in writing this series. Definently a series your elementary grade child has been looking for to make reading more fun.

Good for 1st and 2nd graders,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Beast Quest #1: Ferno the Fire Dragon (Paperback)
I read the first four books and ended up not liking them because they were to easy. I'm going into fourth grade and I'm into things like Charlie Bone, Harry Potter etc. I do think this book is better for the younger audience, like 7 or 8 years old so me and my mom are going to donate our books of them to charity.

I am typing this review for my nine year old son. Here are his exact words. "I expect people to read this book which are eight and up. It is an extremely good book. I am just starting to read the second one. The book is about a boy freeing a dragon. He meets a girl named Elenna. Elenna has a pet wolf. They have a great adventure. I hope to get the rest of the books"

My son age 10 doesn't enjoy reading as much as I would like him to. This book grabbed his attention. He enjoyed it very much and told me so. We look forward to this new Fantasy Adventure Series.

My son does not like reading very much but these really keep him interested. The only problem is they keep making more so I have to buy all of them The good thing is they are long enough to get your money's worth and if the whole series was one book like the Harry Potter series it would be intemidating to slower readers. They would be perfect for a boy age 8-11.

My dad is entering this review for me. I am a second grade boy. I LOVE each story more than the one before. The chapters are long and the adventures are unexexpected. I can't read them yet. Maybe in third grade.

I like Beast Quest because the Beasts are scary. My favorite part was when the dragon was fighting the young boy. The boy was frighting the dragon so they could live in peace. I would recommend this book to my friends, I think they would like it.
