Book Description

March 4, 2005
The Dino, named after Enzo Ferrari's late son, may have lacked the outright speed of its 12-cylinder contemporaries, but in its various manifestations it was amongst the most stylish and affordable of Ferraris. Benefiting from a legacy of achievement on both road and track, today the series is rightly regarded as providing some of the most coveted classic sports cars. Ferrari Dino is a comprehensive guide, not only to the three models carried in the book's title, but also to the associated models which shared the Dino name. The author traces the series through its progressively more powerful V6 and V8 engines, its ever widening choice of body styles, and the racing career of the purpose-built competition models.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative for the New Buyer, June 21, 2007
This review is from: Ferrari Dino 246,308 and 328: A Collector's Guide (Paperback)
This is a must-read before making a 308 or 328 purchase. I would 'couple' this book with The Complete Guide to the Ferrari 308 Series (if you can find it) by Wallace Wyse (sic). Both books complete a firm body of knowledge regarding the car and its origins, and present a basis of 'reality' before buying a 20-year-old exotic car.

This review is from: Ferrari Dino 246,308 and 328: A Collector's Guide (Paperback)
The text gives a detailed history of the 246 model going forward. Plenty of pictures help convey the excitement and motivation of the breed. Enzo F. had a passion for racing and perfection which are amply documented in this book. Excellent choice for readers who want to understand why these special interest cars exist and endure.
