Small animal practices are seeing more ferrets than ever before and there is a need for comprehensive and easy to use information on the health, husbandry and diseases of these animals. This book is a practical and concise guide to the care and management of the domestic ferret.

Section 1 covers biology and husbandry; section 2 comprises a systematic, practical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases; section 3 covers anaesthesia, common surgical procedures, methods of sampling and administration, and handling and clinical examination; and section 4 contains tables on biological data and drug dosages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Reference, June 25, 2000
This review is from: Ferrets: Health, Husbandry and Diseases (Paperback)
Its great to have a book that owners and veterinarians alike can read for reference. Ferrets aren't as popular as dogs and cats, therefore books and information on ferrets are hard to find. This book is a comfort to have for any ferret-owner.
