Because I've had trouble finding cat grass packets in local stores, I decided to try and order one online. This one was a decent size and didn't have a bad price, so I ordered it.

When it arrived, all of the directions were followed, and now, nearly two weeks later - not a single blade of grass has grown.

*** UPDATE 8/14/11 ***

I gave it another try with the remaining seeds in the package, and this time they started growing within 2 days. Chalk the earlier failure up to planter error - the seeds were put outside in the really hot July sun too early, and then likely drowned in too much water. Keep them indoors early on and they sprout very well.

I have tried several types of grass for a winter treat for my cat, Toby. He always prefers Monida Oats over anything else. These germinated well and I am pleased with the amount of seeds in package.

It's almost impossible to not grow with these seeds. I just threw a handful into a large pot and before two weeks I had a pot full of cat grass.
