Organic. A good yielder all summer and into the fall. The tender sweet rhubarb-like stalks are ruby-red. The bright color extends into the leaf veins of the dark-green heavily crumpled leaves. Delicious in salads or cooked. Very ornamental plants are 18-24 inches. This packet will plant approximately a 45 foot row. When plants are 7 inches tall, cut outer leaves at soil level with sharp knife. Harvest will continue all season if inside leaves are permitted to grow. Sow in outdoor row as soon as ground can be worked. Place one seed every 3 inches and cover firmly with soil. Prefers full sun. Thin to 6 inches apart when plants are 3 inches tall. Use thinnings as fresh greens. Keep plants heavily mulched and moist.

I haven't planted these yet as I am in Florida. All other Ferry Morse seeds purchased and planted ( organic mustard greens, organic turnip greens, organic cucumber and organic beet) GROW!

I have been vegetable gardening for 40 years or so....and this is far and away the best seed brand I have ever purchased.
