A Must-Have!,
By
This review is from: Fertility and Conception: A Complete Guide to Getting Pregnant (Paperback)
This is the most comprehensive book on conception and fertility I have ever come across. With this book, you don't need other books. It is super easy to read, beautifully presented (lots of photos) and packed with practical tips and great information that works! This is a must-have for all couples who wants to have the big picture but also want the practical information that no one talks about! Zita West is a bright light in what could be a very complicated world of fertility... she keeps it simple and guides you through the process... basically all you wanted to know but didn't even think to ask. Her knowledge on alternative medicine and western medicine is vast and knows how to weave the two worlds when it's necessary in a seamless way. The books leaves no stone unturned as it covers all areas of the conception and fertility process... whether you decide to conceive naturally or IVF etc. Her book will bring greater confidence to all couples who embark in this journey and assist them in focusing on what really matters! Here's to Zita!!!

The answer to all your infertility questions and problems,

This review is from: Fertility and Conception: A Complete Guide to Getting Pregnant (Paperback)
Zita West has taken great care to write a comprehensive guide to conception that encompasses all areas of fertility & infertility. In this book Zita West helps couples to prepare mentally, physically and emotionally for conception and pregnancy, whether it be a fairly simple endeavour or one which requires assistance. I purchased this book because it was recommended to me, and I am more than happy to pass the word on!!

Impractical,
By
This review is from: Fertility and Conception: A Complete Guide to Getting Pregnant (Paperback)
The suggestions in this book are completely impractical. For instance, it recommends that everyone have their hair tested for vitamin deficiencies before trying to conceive, but then states that there is a lot of controversy over whether hair testing is accurate. So unless you want to only drink water out of glass bottles, give up swimming so that the uterus doesn't get cold, only drink dandelion coffee, and give up sex for a month to get to know your body, I do not recommend this book.
More than half of the book is on infertility treatments, so I would not recommend this book for anyone who hasn't already tried conceiving naturally and had issues.

Not worth buying,

This review is from: Fertility and Conception: A Complete Guide to Getting Pregnant (Paperback)
I thought this book wasn't worth the buy...I had bought a few different books trying to get info on infertility....don't buy this one--after all the books I bought and all the time on the net reading up on everything, I'll have to tell you that you can find out just as much if not more info just online googling. And really ask your doctor or see a fertility specialist, but my regular OBGYN was a wealth of knowledge as well.

Excellent Overview of Fertility & Conception,

This review is from: Fertility and Conception: A Complete Guide to Getting Pregnant (Paperback)
This book was an excellent overview on fertility and conception. The layout and pictures made it a pleasure to read. This book was great at covering what the body goes through every month, how to time conception, general health for both man and women, and if there is difficulty getting pregnant, what the options are. I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about getting pregnant and concerned about their own fertility.

This book is very colorful and full of little facts. It highlights the important information and provides a little extra for those bookworms. I found the information to be interesting and well presented. The pictures and graphs helped with my understanding and are great if you need to refer back.

Great book for teaching my Child Development Class,

This review is from: Fertility and Conception: A Complete Guide to Getting Pregnant (Paperback)
This is the "textbook" that I use to introduce my students to how to get yourself ready for conception and then the steps in conceiving. The author is a bit "too hippy" for me talking a lot about natural medicine, herbs, and accupuncture which personally, I'm not into. But if you skip those sections- the information is great. I started teaching the child development course prior to wanting to have a baby, but we are now TTC and I'm using the information I've taught them to direct myself for conception too.
