An incredible book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Festival (Mass Market Paperback)
Festival is a wonderful love story, and a terrific depicition of the Scottish laird. I fell in love with Jamie Cameron along with Catie. I really enjoyed that they began their relationship through phone calls rather than being swept up in lust at first sight. Their banter on the phone and in person made me smile on more than one occasion. The story was so well written it was difficult for me to put the book down and I read it in a day and a half. This book is destined for my keeper shelf.

Fresh and believable,

I have to admit to reading Festival a few years ago, so this is not a recent read for me. But that should say something about it's memorability factor. I came across the book while looking for another here on Amazon and was immediately reminded of how much I loved Festival. There are so many fresh elements to this romance. For example, the hero and heroine fall in love before they ever meet face to face. Telephone calls...sexy telephone calls, allow them to get to know one another and enjoy each other's good qualities before physical factors come into play (What a nice change!!)A time-travel and romance saga is the best description for Festival. I highly recommend it.

Good, but ....,

From the blurb on the back through most of the book, this novel strongly suggests that it's a time travel romance. But after hundreds of pages, the "time travel" seems hurried and rather silly. It's a decent read, but Outlander is a far better choice if you're looking for a Scotland-themed book.
