My daughter reallly wanted this Barbie. I agree with her, she certainly is beautiful. Her makeup, dress, tights, shoes. Very nice. But her hair.... It's beautiful and will stay beautiful if you keep her on a shelf. Please be prepared that if your little one is going to play with her, her hair will not look that way for long. After one hour of play, our Barbie no longer has curls, only frizz. One big frizz ball head later, she looks trashed. We always find flaws with the Barbie we purchase - they shoes usually. But the hair on this one, what a joke.

I gave this to my wife to add to her small but eclectic Barbie collection (plus she does a lot for the local Irish festival, so it's a win-win). It still has Barbie's ridiculous feet, but other than that it's one of the more attractive releases. The face doesn't have the vacant smile. The hair is pretty. The dress is oh-so-screamingly trademark Irish...but that matches the costumes you see at a real feis. A doll to play with? Nah. That hair will unravel and tangle in a heartbeat. A doll to collect and appreciate? You betcha. It looks great with the rest of her collection.

Other than her hair not staying in those perfect, bouncy curls, my daughter just loves this doll!

My daughter wants to learn Irish dancing and while we are waiting for her to become old enough to take classes here in the US (5 yrs) I purchased this Irish Dance Barbie actually twice now. One that she can play with and one that stays in the box. The Barbie company did a terrific job with this Barbie. The outfit is beautiful and the white socks stay up and don't fall down. The special shoes do come unlaced pretty easy and can be laced back up .... it was hard but do able and easy to become lost as well. Our Barbie has danced and played many hours with my daughter and her imagination. I do only wish that Barbie was better or more realistic in her body areas like her waist. All and all a terrific Barbie.

How pretty? The curls are so shiny, and her expression is so adorable. Her outfit looks like velvet, and her shoes and stockings are so cute! I definitely want this doll!

I saw this Barbie in a toy store display. I knew she was gorgeous and had adorable Celtic style dress. I bought her from Amazon because the toy store was all out. I'm very please with my purchase
